Most street turbo external wastegates vent to the downpipe. Atmospheric dumps are usually used on the track, or by the really aggresive street racers like SkiDazzle. I guess it sounds like a 747 at takeoff.
If I get a TT kit grom greddy it there any way to not allow it to flow back into the down pipe so it sound like a 747. I think it makes cars sound bad as hell whrn you can hear the turbos and also would this add Hp?

Would I hav to modify the down pipe to cover the hole in it for the wast gat pipe to connect to?

thats if I gat this kit.
Thanks

I'm not sure what an open dump pipe will sound like on a VQ35, but I think they sound like crap on 4 cylinder cars--the primary sound is valve clatter. I ran one briefly on a DSM and couldn't stand the sound.

With the way this kit is routed it would be pretty difficult to dump the wastegate to atmosphere but there are a couple of kits out who have this as part of their design.

A lift is a definite must. I heard of people doing it in there driveway, i would hate to try. Make sure you replace the wastegate gaskets with the ones from turbonetics. Heat wrap everything well, you dont need stuff to burn once you get it running. There is a couple of wire colors wrong on the emanage diagram, but the positions are all right. Take your time, if you get frustrated with something, move on to something else. And you will get frustrated. If you need help on anything during install, just ask. I'm trying to get more pictures up of the install, but i cant find my power plug to my camera and i cant charge it.
