I am another Greddy TT disappointed with fitment of the downpipe and wastegates. But since I have one of the first production version I just dealt with it and replaced a lot of their studs and bolts.
The mating surface of the manifold to wastegate is not drilled through and without knowing as m3powerrr stated will bottom out the bolt leaving a slight gap. I've seen a newer version of the TT kit and it's now drilled and tap through.
I pointed out to GQ about the cheap Tial Paper gasket to replace with turbonetics gasket. I think GQ still has leaks but it's from the heads and manifold.
m3powerrr, I feel for you, I installed this myself and after finding leaks was so frustrated and PO. The car is now back with all bolts replace to stud configuration with locking nuts. Nothing is coming off this car now. Also all 4 cheap paper/metal mesh gaskets has been replaced with a Turbonetic metal gaskets. So far no leaks and car is running strong.
Also here are a couple more things to look out for. Look at the blue rubber vacuum hose that is provided by Greddy and over time with heat will bend out of shape and may pinch. This is the vacuum hose that connect from the wastegate to the plenum. I have also had those replace with SS braided vacuum lines and Aeroquip AN fittings.
Make sure to bend the power steering return hard line a little out of the way of the passenger side turbo or it will get eaten through with heat. Mine leak fluid and had to be fixed.

Can you believe this company? I emailed them twice. I called them out!!! I showed them the link. Not a peep. Come on Greddy. Say something. Tell us the reason behind your "go **** yourself I already got your money attitude" I hope you guys have a booth here at Hot Import Nights and NOPI. I usually avoid the rice shows but I'm going to show up if you will have a booth. I'll call you out in front of everyone. See what you have to say. We just want to hear your side of the story. Damn~

The JWT kit is sounding better everyday.......I know if I sold a kit for 5k plus bucks , I would throw in a couple of extra gaskets customer service is very important, but as someone mentioned earlier I think they figure the installer can work around the glitches. my 2 cents

I have a second run kit and as far as I know it is tapped properly. I assembled the manifold/turbo/wg/dp for each side before I installed everything to figure out which bolts go where. So far so good, I cannot hear any leaks and last time I checked (3k miles after the install) I didn't see any exhaust carbon build up or any noises. Sorry to hear you had such a hard time with the kit.

m3power.....man....I think you need some anti-anger therapy. I know the kit is a biatch and times...but please take a deep breath before you have a coronary.
OK, yes, the kit needs work. I've taken off my wastegates two other times...and it wasnt very fun. But my manifolds and bolt sizes were correct...there were no gaps or loosness at all. Wild350Z's were also correct. After changing the wastgates to deltagate metal wastegates, there were no leaks at all from the wastgate manifold assembly. I still have a leak at the manifold to head, becuase I am missing a stud, that came off. See, the bigger, problem is that Greddy used substandard studs that were only 6 threads deep, vs. the 11 threads that are tapped in to the head. So you have a very weak connection point as a result.
If I could do it again, I would replace all the studs with deeper aftermarket pieces, and of course, get some better wastegate gaskets. This is what 350Now did and he has zero leaks.
And M3...the stock wastegates are paper, that is reinforced with the thinnest and flimsiest metal mesh you can think of it. They are crap..... The deltagate wastegate gates are much more robust, and thicker, and wont blow out like the thin paper ones. Good luck man! Keep the faith!!
None of these kits is perfect.....seems like some tweaking and modding is always needed.
Of course, now I have some new problems to deal with..
kinda puts things back into perspective...doesnt it.

I have heard from more than a few people that if you call GReddy Japan (TRust) with a problem (I'd imagine you would need to speak japanese) they go out of their way to help you with any problem you may have no matter how small it may be. The problem is GReddy US. They seem to not have the same work ethics as their Japanese parent company and appear not to really care what the public thinks of them because they are "GReddy". They've got the name recognition.
I have their eManage (which I should hopefully finish installing today) and I can say that when I personally called GReddy and asked them if they could send me the wiring diagram for the eManage on a 350Z, they told me that "we don't have anything like that".
Ummm... yeah, you really do, guys!
Finally I got a hold of a guy there named Kenji and he was great. Sent me everything I needed.

exactly....the guys at the front desk are less than helpful. Ask to speak to kenji, who is their lead technician...and he has never denied me any help. He is been a great advise giver, and is always williing to chat and help. And THEY ARE LISTENING. They have made numerous improvements to the kit as the feedback came back.
Check this out. They emailed me back. It seems they didn't even read the post. But hey, at least they responded. Here is what they wrote.
"Thank you for the update, we appreciate getting feed back, and we are sorry to hear of these difficulties with our kit. We have already addressed issues with our wastegates, with our wastegate sub-contractor to resolve the paper gasket issue, all current and future kits now have an upgraded wastegate gasket. We have been sending replacement gaskets to customers which have had an issue with the older paper gaskets. Improving our product and service is very important to us, but it is difficult to sort out all possible problems in testing, and it is more difficult to satisfy every customer to the fullest, without user and installer insight. Thank you again for the email.

On a final note, I never said I had a problem with the paper gasket. It was the faulty manifold that caused the problem. See how they are blaming Tial for the problem. The gasket/leak on the side with the "good" manifold did not have the problem.
It's not the gasket! It's the manifold!!!!
But someone said the second batch had good manifold so there shouldn't be any problems for future Greddy installers. Good luck and let's put this one to rest!

I was going to let this one to rest, but I gotta spill the beans while it's still fresh in my mind.
After recieving the email from Greddy, I decided to call them. I asked to speak to "customer relations/support". I thanked them for at least replying. I also try to tell them it wasn't the gasket, it was the manifold.
Ahhhh hell, he was like they are unaware of this problem. He said no one ever called in about the manifold problem and there is no design flaw. They sold over 500 of these units and no one's ever called in about an exhaust leak.
Are you kidding me? I called it in. So if no one else ever called it in, that makes it 2.
Unfreakinbelievable!!!!!
Just for ***** and giggles, please someone with an exhaust leak/bad manifold call in and see what they say? For ***** and giggles. I know nothing is going to change. I know their customer support sux. Just for ***** and giggles.

I forgot the most important part of the conversation. When he told me he knows of not a single issue with the kit, I asked him if he ever read any of the threads on the forums. His exact quote was
"I never go on those forums. Those forums are useless and a waste of time."
I'm not making it up. That's exactly what he said.

thats incredible....
ESPECIALLY for a four digit upgrade/kit (well aware of the need to make ends meet, believe me!!)....
AT THE VERY LEAST, recognize the faults and address them!!... sheesh!!
i spent over 15 min. on the phone with steve from vortech, discussing proprietary design specs.... and he is well aware of this site (and participates regularly)...
i hope you get to kenji bro.... and soon !!
