Default Finally After 3 Tries!!!

Wow, it took 3 tries and 3 months of waiting to get this thing on my car, but the Vortech is finally on. Vortech forgot to send me the bracket bolts so my car was put back to stock and the hole on my oil pan had to be plugged. Then when i got my parts, my buddy didn't have time to install, so that took a while... then 2 nights ago when we were installing again, we realized Vortech didn't send us a big spacer for a big bolt for the bracket, so i found soemthing the same size and used that as a spacer!!! ARUGH it was so nerve racking but I guess it's worth it and not many people can say they DIY'ed it. If any of you plan to DIY your blower, DEFINATLY CHECK THAT YOU HAVE ALL YOUR PIECES. I couldn't believe how many pieces Vortech left out in my kit and how it slowed my installation down!!!
Anyways, so I don't get a "This thread is useless with out pictures" mark on my post...
Here's some pics:

My Car (DIY)...

The other Chris's (huducks) car (DIY)...

Jimmy's (dollar99's) car (notices how it's all ghettoed up... oh and the air filter we put on it was DIY)...

BTW. it took us about 19 hours to do Chris's and probably would have taken us 10 hours to do mine if we had all the correct parts... Still kind of POed at Vortech

Yeah I hear you on that. I did a part check on my kit and I think everything is there but the part list sucks *****. I guess I'm use to a parts list with pictures and stuff.

BTW, can anyone tell me what they think the most common reason for terrible clicking noise is? I want to get rid of that noise so only the "whirrling" sound is left... It's not fun sounding like an old truck that's about to break down.

Sorry to hear about your problems but well worth the wait. I used the JWT spacer kit instead of taping the upper oil pan. You might want to order the 3.12 pulley and 34 cog pulley and 93 belt!Nine pounds here you come. Good luck, enjoy

I said it before and I'll say it again, I would not recommend this. There is a reason that the kit was design to have the gravity drain oil return ABOVE the oil level. Placing it lower, to me, seems to like you are asking for problems. Not to mention that fact that Vortech will probably void the warranty on the head unit.
