What would happen if you got pulled over and the cops check your hood, and he see the Greddy TT kit? Will he fine you and impound your car and give you a fix-it ticket? Is the Greddy TT kit street legal?

more than likely u will get a state ref..this will require u to remove the kit which will be a pain in the assss... cops shouldnt have any reason to check whats under ur hood. this tends to happen late night like if u are at the runs racing and get pulled over. this has happened to my friends. trust me i havent got pulled over in the day but i dont drive my car too late at night cause cops here in cali are haters

Why should he check under your hood don't let him you can always say no. just be careful he may try and tow your car. He needs a reason to search your vehicle.

Yeah, it's not like the breathalizer where you have to agree...if he asks to search your car say %^# no as politely as you can think of. And that should be the end of THAT conversation. If he still pushes it tell him "you know your rights" (like he's never heard that before), and he can't search the car...he should leave it at that.

Depends what you get pulled over for. If you are around street races or are street racing they can and will look for obvious, aftermarket modifications that aren't street legal. I've seen it done a few times...I know it happens in Cali...I've seen it on TV

Ask to his his ASE certification. When he says he doesn't have one, tell him he has no business looking under your hood then.

Well regarding rights... If he has "probable cause" he can check your car without your consent. He could also request a search warrant right there on the spot if he needs to. But a search without your consent can still be fought in court. But regarding the search warrant, if he obtains it, then your kinda sol. But this could be a matter of a few days or real time depending on the counties system.
