Gia sou!!!

Where are you from?

I am using the HKS S35iL, heat range 7, with my Greddy TT set up at 6.5-7 psi and the car goes really great with them. The guy that tunes my car suggested me to go with the HKS S45iL which are 4 step colder than stocks....Don't forget we have very high temps during summertime, more than 40 degrees C- 100F

I made 1k km with the stock ones, heat range 5, and I manage to melt the tip of a plug on cyl Nr5. I was lucky and nothing happened to the motor....

Kostas,

I'm from Crete. Well my family is, I've only visited once, but I am going in 2005 for a month.

I'll look into the HKS plugs. I found the IKH22, but they are like 11$ a plug. I have no experience with Iridium plugs, and no one I know does either. Are the HKS plugs Iridium also?

Thanks.

Hi Bill,

Crete is really nice, visited Chania last year and had a wondefull time.

Now regarding the IKH22's those are iridium Denso plugs, not HKS plugs.

The HKS Plugs are Iridium plugs as well, made by Denso, HKS is not a plug manufacturer. According to my supplier the Denso IKH22 and the HKS S35iL plugs are pretty the same, that means that both have tips that are very very fine and don't resist too much in any signs of detonation-tend to brake.
HKS are also overpriced, you can not find them for less than 18$

On the other side the NGK Iridium plugs- used to have them in an EVO VII- are of a great quality, have a stronger tip design and you can find them much cheaper than the others.

I am not sure that you can find them for our car in 2 step colder. I tried with no luck, I only found the LFR-6 AIX which are one step colder than stock.

I was told that the 2 step colder NGK's are the ones that Greddy sells for the TT cars..

Cheers

Kostas
