We saved the two maps from the Greddy basic kit to data 1 on the profec. We tried to export them, but since its password protected, I suppose the unit won't accept it. We initialized the unit, blanked the emanage, and tried to export the 2 maps to the emanage with no luck.
Where did we go wrong? The car barely runs and bellows black smoke. Any help will be appreciated.
My tuner is a bit pissed at me, but when we looked at the info from the emanage that came with the kit, none of the info appeared correct. It said I had a 1800cc motor, blah, blah blah. It also says software 1.36 and firmware 1.10. Did I get an emanage not programmed to my car, and how can we fix this?
BTW, kit was bought. After further research, it was an open kit that went through a few dealers to me, so parts are missing and it wouldn't surprise me if I got some emanage for a different car.

Did the Profec ask for you to update the eManage? If it did...and you said yes...then you likely wiped out the operating firmware on the eManage, and that is why you have a communication error.
You'll need to reinstall the firware on the emanage unit first. You'll need the Greddy support tool/cable and a laptop to do this, since your profec isnt talking to the emange in its current state.
Honestly, your BEST bet is to call Kenji at Greddy USA tomorrow and have him walk your tuner through this process...it is a bit complex, and I cant really explain it. I would have to sit in your car and do it..>I did the same thing to Wild350's car when he wiped out his eManage.
Sorry.

When you try start the e01 for the first time it will ask you to update the emanage which if you are going to keep the stock program you have to say no.
If you updated it and intialized it, it should be blank, make sure the dials are on 7-0-1, if it came with the kit it should have a sticker over them that says something about being legal or something.
You need to set up the e01 with the car cylinders and throttle type and some other things.
Then you go to emanage section in the e01 select "Parameter Settings" and check off Additional Injector MAP and the Boost Limiter Cut Setting, also put in the Injectr chane numbers of 300 and 440, also pick the Airflow Meter Change as NS_WS-2. When you go back out you should have those two settings, go to them and fill in the table making sure you put in the Voltage and RPM's like shown on the tables posted, be careful with the decimal points, make sure you pick Airflow Meter Hotwire for the Additional Injector table.
Then you can export it to the emanage.
Other chime in.

I guess the question is to describe what is happening now.
What happens when you turn the ignintion on the the e01 comes on? (Assumint the emanage is connected and hooked to the e01 with the USB cable)
Does it ask to update?
If so do you say yes, if so does it do it or does a communication error come up?

I was receiving a communication error when I tried to export info to the emanage . . . then we did a big no-no. We let it update and it wiped the emanage blank. No support tool so the emanage and sd card are being sent to Kenji to fix it all. Anyone know why it wouldn't let us use the maps to export to emanage?
Maybe like gq said, you need the support tool to do it.
What sucks is that unless Kenji sends it back without a password you will be in the same boat and need to find someone with support tool to tune it for you or at least get a MAP in there.

No matter why or how. I just know that I bought this kit from an unauthorized dealer, who ordered it from a distributor that apparently sold it as an open kit. The firmware is out of date and the software is ancient . . . once Kenji sends it back, its on!!!
And we're (shop and I) are ordering the support tool just in case.
