Default Lean Idle with AC off

Since I've had the Vortech, my Z idles rough and a little lean with the A/C off. So I've just left the AC on all the time, but this week, it seems like when the compressor turns off, the idle drops to about 900 and it starts running lean like 15-16 A/F. As soon as I blip the throttle, it goes back to normal.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? (other than a TS reflash to raise the idle RPM)

Default Vortech

I had a similar situation occur in my G35c with Vortech.

1. You can play with the R4 software and change the numbers by: (.1) at 500 and 1000 rpm across the board, it helped me.

2. I found out that my Fuel injector seals (#5 & #6) were leaking and needed to be replaced. I went with RC550 injectors and used the SS software to scale the fuel rates.

Hey dfw350z, how is that working with the rc550s and the r4 software? did you get a ts reflash? you should post the r4 map.

How did you get from lean idle to injector seal leaks? My af is right on at 14.6-15.0 cruising, and it's only at idle with the compressor off that it gets up that high. What I'm asking, is what made you look for injector seal leaks?

My idle problem...
My car was idling very strangely, like you very rough and up and down on AF. Then my dealer saw that my injector seals were bad on 5 and 6. Until the swap RC550 we were able to compensate with R4 software. "Check your seals" As you know were are pushing the factory injectors to 100+ duty cycle"

Booger - Sorry please see my latest post:

Here is the BAD news
http://g35driver.com/forums/showflat...sed&sb=5&part=

The good news is things should work out fine with R4 and RC550's. I will post mapA and mapB once complete.
