Default Good luck at the track

Jason that's fantastic news and I absolutely agree that Intercooled APS Intercooled TT Z car is a real blast........ next best thing to a Twin Tubo 996 Porsche in my opinion and for a lot less $$$$$$.

Good luck down at the track and I hope you have a better than stock clutch and some drag radials.............if not take it easy on launching the APS TT Z car............rather you smoke the tyres than the clutch.

Make sure you have a hoot of a time and I'm really looking foward to hearing what ET and MPH you run at the track.

Thanks

Peter

Hey Dan,

I have nothing against you or you guys, BUT...
#1 please do not post solicitations for your business on our threads, we dont do it to you..
#2 you DO NOT have the fastest 350z in the world anymore, Extreme motorworks does..
#3 your car is in now way, shape or form a street car...

and last but not least..
#4 you had your chance to get on the APS boat and passed it up so dont beg now to do an install on some customers car.APS SPECIFICALLY wants APS AUTHORIZED shops to do the install
and anyone on the EAST COAST should come to MRC or another AUTHORIZED APS 350z TT kit dealer..
Thank you..

As far as driving my impressions....
I am still running the base map and although it is hard to watch the boost guage while holding on for my life, I seem to have no problems hitting around 7lbs... I have only put about 80 miles on it so far as we had a few minor issues we were working out.(not APS) related... But that should be all fixed tonight!!!
Peter,
The car is a BLAST to drive. The power is so smooth and usuable. I have driven vipers, supercharged vettes, tt porsches, etc and all I can say is that the power is at my control, not the cars, making it a pleasure to drive.... I plan on hitting the 1/4 mile by this weekend to see what it does before tuning it....
Jason, call me 631-774-4140

We are in Dallas for the weekend to see if the team can find a weak link in the mighty VQ...

over 1000 + WHP and the stock bottom end is still holding...

We would love to see the APS Kit, and FREE dyno is not a problem.

the boys should be back later in the week

Call me with your impressions after your final tuning...

DAN

I'm sorry, but 1000 WHP stock bottom?

I could be wrong here. (not an expert)

What else is going on with the engine because that just doesn't make any sense.

Thanks

They meant just the block itself. They built up the motor completely after blowing up 2 stock bottom ends using N20..They are the true pioneers of the VQ powered race car!!And Wish them the best of luck in the upcomming season and can not wait to see the full tube chassis car..

Performance Motorsport/Smithtown Nissan is a sponsor of this site. You however are NOT. He is allowed to post in this manner on any members threads just as many of our other sponsors do.

Sure the block alone, with everything else built around it?

I'm sure that's possible.

We're talking 15/20K here in "around the block" type work?

Which essentially makes it a NON VQ motor, doesn't it?

I was just reading in a mag (of course I can't remember which one at the moment) but they built a monster 1400HP 350z for drag.

They are a "motor shop/race team" and they stated in the mag they couldn't build up the VQ35 reliably and swapped out to a SR20 and built that block up.

Of course that is just their opinion, and as Performance motorsports is another shop/race team they just have their opinion and obviously their method and proof of it.

This is true, I am not a sponsor OR a shop...The fact that he is a sponsor allows him to post freely, you are correct..

However this thread was done for "INFORMATIONAL" purposes only regarding the APS tt kit so many members anticipated for months.
MRC motorsports, although NOT a sponsor, correct, was lucky enough to recieve the first APS kit in the USA and install it. They were also NICE enough to allow me to post pictures and reviews of it on several websites so that the masses may view the quality product that APS makes.
What Dan did was solicit business as a sponsor for :
#1 a product he is NOT aouthorized to sell and
#2 turn this thread from an informational post to a venue of selling services.

I believe he has a section in the "VENDOR CLASSIFIEDS" to do so as a PAYING sponsor, am I correct?
My intentions were not to PROMOTE anyones business merely show off the first APS TT kit on US soil to all the viewers. You obviously have a vested interest in who sells the APS TT kit around here, where as I purchased my kit and could care less where people buy it from..
Regards
Julian

Ps there was no offense intended towards Dan and his team, they are doing great things and wish them the best of luck in the future..

He may not be authorized but he is a sponsor and if he wants to offer his services then so be it. Him simply stating his service will not hurt the main point of this thread; I've seen it done before many times on this forum and it does not affect the flow/purpose of the thread.

easy boys.....we were interested in helping, not starting an argument/dicsussion regarding sponsors rights...

customers offten are lost after the purchase of a major FI system, and we were opening a line to them for help, for installs in our LOCAL area only...

we did not purchase the APS kit, because David was not willing to send us one, he wanted a major purchase agreement, at the time we were focusing (rightfully so) on our drag program and our relationship with Power Enterprises..

As a Tuner Shop, we welcome ALL products, it only helps the industry. We have a great (i think) relationship with jason, and wish them the best with the ASP system. I will leave your thread alone. Sorry if i steped on your toe...truly

Hey Dan,
We definately have a great relationship. I look forward to the great things you have in store for your Z's and the records you will break.. Speaking about breaking, thanks for the axle
Anyway, I will take a ride out to you as soon as you get back to see what kind of numbers we are getting as well as challenge your roadster to a race!
I remember the good old days of this site when it was exciting to find out the JWT had a pop charger for the car... And when I made my own private donation to jmanZ to keep this site up... Today is my Z's 2 year anniversary... 59,000 miles later and now tubercharged.... Just the beginning....
