Default 8lb boost on ATI ?

What do I need to run 8lbs on the ATI procharger? I have the 9lb pullies and haven't installed them. Also what pulley do I change just for the 8lbs? Do I need a adjustable fuel pressure regulator or just an 8lb reflash and a fuel pump? Thanks

Getting 8PSI exactly is tough to do with a supercharger. I am right at 8.2 with the TS ECU flash and PE injectors. When you get the flash it raises the rev limiter to 7.2 RPM. The higher you rev, the higher you boost. This is done with the stock pulleys. I was able to hit 10-12PSI with the 9lbs pulleys. My problem was that sometimes my car would go past 7.2 RPM's because the tranny was hot and wouldn't shift quick enough .

I don't think the fuel regulator is needed when only boosting 8 PSI. However, anything higher I would get both the pump and regulator.

I understand that the 7lb pulley with the new rev limiter set will increast boost to about 8lbs. I have the 9lb pullies and haven't installed them yet. I was wondering if I could just swap out one of the 7lb pullies with a 9lb pulley (just one not both) and obtain about 9lbs total at 7200rpms. If anyone has done this, what pulley do I swap and can I just get the ecu reflashed to compensate for the extra fuel needs?

Yes this has been done. Technically it should work. I have not done it personally. I would recommened a reflash just to make sure you are not running lean. At 9 PSI I would suspect you will be running lean and may consider the fuel pump and regulator.
It really doesn't matter which pulley you remove. Just remember which side is which. If you go one side bigger on the wrong side, it will actually take away boost.

You better take timing into consideration before running 9psi out of the Procharger.

I wouldnt be happy revving my vortech to 7200 and that kind of boost, asking for trouble. On stock internals, anyhow.

Ok So if I run the 9lb pulley:

Will I need larger injectors?? WHat size?...keep in mind I will change the pistons, cam,do head work, and rods in the future and only want to buy the injectors ONCE.

I will also run a 75 HP nitrous shot

Are the 2 step colder NGK iridium plugs ok or do I need one step?

I am installing the fuel pump and management system included with the procharger and the J & S Safeguard for timing. THANKS!!
