O2 heater code affecting performance??
Hey guys, I have a SES light that says i have a damaged O2 sensor heater in bank 2 Sensor 2. And it just so happens that my car is running with a huge bog at 4000-5000 rpms with a limit set a 5000 rpm and i cant go past it. I was wondering if this code would have anything to do with the engine performing the way it is, and a stupid question, which side is bank 2? drivers or passengers?
Thanks!
Thanks!

I had an O2 heater code for roughly 8 weeks before I got to finally fix it yesterday (don't ask why it took me so long)--it was a VERY simple fix, and the code didn't hurt my performance or drivability at all.
I'd look elsewhere, maybe there's an issue with your FMU with your Vortech?

Yes it sounds like something to do with your FMU . Have you done any tuning lately ? Maybe your settings got changed . Maybe a vacuum line running to your FMU has a leak . That would be the first place I would look . As far as what bank is # 2 , I would guess passenger side....Bill

I posted this same problem about two months ago. The code is: (P0057).
The dealer supposedly replaced the heated O2 sensor and the SES came back on about 30 seconds after I drove off the lot.
I have the ATI Procharger. The SES came on BEFORE I got the 9 psi pulley and BEFORE I got the AAM Spec fuel system.
I have no performance issues as a result though.
Any ideas?

Bonz--mine was just 2 little wires that came loose (from me being forced to drive over a hubcap because I was blocked in my lane--I'm still bitter). My O2 still looked perfectly fine, and my CEL cleared immediately when I plugged my computer in.
Have you gotten under there to make sure all the wiring is locked in as it should be? The dealer might have just changed the O2 without checking the wires.

i actually ordered a new O2 sensor from nissan, and they sent me the wrong one. they gave me the one for bank one instead of 2. so now i have to send it back and wait. Do you guys think it could be a malfunctioning FMU? The problem is on and off. it has the fuel cut intermittently so its not consistent. sometimes it will run great all the way to redline, and the other times, it craps out....gettin frustrated with the damn problem...
