Default larger injectors on Vortech SC

I talked to Split Second today about scaling back larger injectors . They said it wouldnt be a problem and could go just about as big as needed . He said you would need a [scan toll ?] to know how far to drop the numbers on the fuel map . Any one know what kind of scanner he is talking about and how to use one ?

I feel confident they are referring to a basic Infiniti Diag tool. This would allow you to watch the AF ration. In our case we are going to dyno to tune so I don’t think such a tool would be necessary. Its official I get my car back on Wednesday after dyno and I will post how the R4 and RC550 work + Map examples.

they had to have done some changes to even get it to run . Plus changes to the FMU .I think we have to change the raising rate , its 8 to1 now , with 550 injectors we will have to lower that rate I think , 6to1 ,4to1...dont know

Same concept as the ones OBDI uses. It monitors timing retard, knock sensor counts etc etc. Inj PW is usually scaled back to acommodate the larger inj's.
