Default Just Finished the Greddy install tonight

I just finished my greddy tt install this morning at 5am. All I can say is I went through all that trouble for this.

I think that it is lacking in hp... I have helix test pipes and stock exhust. I'm boosting 5psi right now. Please tell me guys; that it gets better. My friends stock rb26 pulls way harder than this.

I have a few other questions. should I start another thread?

On the greddy turbo timer and the profec e-01, there is a rpm wire (brown) where do I tap this wire into? Which pin out on the harness? Thanks for the help.

Congrats, at stock boost and stock MAPS the car feels stronger but not out of this world you will need to tune it to get a better AF ratio and better power, it comes way rich.

I added the fuel pump and got the maps from ACP and the car felt so much better.

So don't be discourage it can get better, it just needs a little more work.

I remember about the brown wire just that brown goes with brown, ACP (Tim) told me but I didn't write it down.

thanks westpak, I need to get a wideband a/f guage right? I'll get one after sema. And drop by a local tunner shop with a dyno.

ACP has maps? how do you transfer the maps? I didn't get an ignition harness for the Profec though. I'm just using it for the boost gauge right now. can I still use ACPs maps?

as for the brown wire, I just don't want to tap the wrong wire on the ecu.

This kit has been driving me nuts for the last four days.

Thanks

I think I remember now the brown wire is for the TPS (Throttle Position sensor)?

Anyway, yes ACP sells MAPS that he has done tons of work on below is my Dyno with his MAPS and around 7-8 pounds, I have to work on the boost settings to keep the boost leveled. With his MAPS you can also add the pressure harness to connect the e01 and emanage to run using boost rather than MAF for your MAPS.

The wideband sensor is a very good idea, you will need the Greddy signal harness to read it with the e01. I also didn't use the ignition harness, I got the J&S Safeguard instead.

The brown wire is for the RPM signal. You need to connect it to the brown output wire on the Greddy RPM adaptor. Be careful here....I messed this up when I did it. The output on the Greddy RPM adaptor cant support more than one other "tap" into it. So you have one signal going to the eManage, the other singla can goto the Profec...but when I tried to connect to my turbo timber as well, I got no signals anywhere...very dangerous.

ohhhhhh.... lucky I didn't tap both of them...I had the profec e-01 brown wire tapped into the RPM adapter at first. But my friend switched two of the coil packs and the car didn't run right. I thought the I did the wiring wrong. So I disconnected the brown RPM wire. What benefit do I have if I tap that wire into the Profec e-01?

Also, how much does the J&S safe gaurd usually cost?

I mistyped my reply. OK, you dont need to tap the brown wire the profec, becuase the profec will recieve the RPM signal via the USB cable to the eManage. You just need to make sure the RPM adaptor is properly wired to the eManage.

Now, you might wanna test tapping the RPM wire on your turbo timer to the brown output wireon the RPM adaptor. See if you continue to get an RPM reading on your profec.

Oh, and the J&S usually costs about $495, plus a few bucks for their adaptor junction block for our 6 coil setup.

I have the RPM adapter output connected to the emanage and my wideband, no problems. But yes, the e-01 will get the rpm from the emanage, so no worries there.

Thanks for the help guys...

I just got back from SEMA last night. It wasn't as good as last year. There were a lot of fake Bently's this year.

I also check my wiring today and the Brown wire from the RPM adaptor is connected to the brown wire on the emanage. I am going to try to splice the RPM wire from my greddy turbo timer to the RPM Adaptor wire and the emanage wire. What do you guys think?
