With all the built motors being processed right now, just wanted to remind everyone, that it is advisable to swap your external wastegate springs (Tial 38mm wastegate) with something a bit more robust. I am swapping my 5.6psi springs for this nice 11.6psi spring.
Since most of us will be running in the 15-20psi range, this will allow your boost controller to work a bit better...since it wont be scaling the boost from 5.6psi. 11.6psi will be the new floor, essentially, and you can increase boost from there.
I know some tuner shops have had trouble getting a perfect boost curve when increasing boost into the 15-23psi range with the Profec. Not sure if its the Profec or what...but the springs are cheap, and might as well swap them while the wastegates are accessible. $60/pair.

no...11.6psi will become the new lowest boost sitting. Realistically, with the pressure losses from the intercooler, the boost will likely be at 11psi. Then you can increase from there.

Here is place I got them from, but I would check with board vendors too. These people just happened to have the weight I needed in stock, so I just bought from them.
But 95% of the time, I support the board vendors.

It's important to chose the spring weight for your particular application. Ask yourself what is the lowest boost you intend to run, and then get a spring as close to that as possible.

If you want to run more boost then stock, you'll need some fuel system upgrades first. And if 10psi is your final goal, then you dont really need new wastegate springs. Just get yourself a boost controller.

Correct...I have read the same thing. Anything beyond double the factory boost level, and the boost tends to vascilate. It's interesting that the Profec manual doesnt mention this..and claims it can control boost up to 30psi (if memory serves me correctly).
