Default engine break down begins

I stopped at the shop today and Bob has my heads off . Middle cyl. on the drivers side broke a bigger piece off than I thought . Exhaust valve is bent , so it needs to go out and be checked out and replaced . We found the piece in the cat . All the cyl . looked like they are getting enough fuel . The cyl. that broke , you could see some detonation marks on it . It wasnt as dark as the others because of being washed with unburnt fuel . The pics are crap....cheap little camera and if you dont hold it perfectly still , its blurry

Im pretty sure the head bolts on the Z are "stretch" bolts, meaning when they are torque'd to spec they stretch some. If this is the case, then you should get some new head bolts. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.....

Just checked the service manual and it doesn't show the head bolts as replacment items upon reassembly. But it won't hurt to replace them.
