Default Cusco vs. Hotchiks Sways

Yah, i did a search, but didn't come up with much. Anyone have an opinion on which is better for the G? I know that the hotchiks sways are more adjustable and that the cusco is only adjustable in the front. and i read that the hotchiks squeak a bit, so i'm sure that'd get annoying pretty quickly. So which is the best overall? (ignoring the price difference)

Thanks~

Don't buy something just because it's JDM. That's stupid. Even JDM stuff can be crap sometimes. The Hotchkis sways are pretty good, and as long as you apply the lubricant correctly you will have no squeaks. I'm not trying to say that the Cusco's are bad or anything and I'm not trying to offend Dragonstyle and his Cheesy grin . Sorry, I had a bad night lasnt night . I've got the Hotchkis sways and they are great. I've had no squeaks as of yet and I really like the adjustability for the front and the back.

Later,

Ray

There is one other difference though I dont know if it is truely significant.
Cusco have the built in collars. Hotchkis do not have collars and some people have said they end up out of skew because of that. Hotckis are less expensive.

If you get Hotchkis make sure you install collars. Solid bars usually have collars welded on, Hotchkis are hollow which makes them light but won't allow for that, they really tightened up steering response of my Z by eliminating the bar's lateral movement during hard cornering. They get rid of squeaks and clunking noise, too. Install them flush with the bushings, takes a few minutes after the car is in the air.

I don't know if G bars are the same size as Z (15/16", 1 3/8") but if you search "collar" you'll find a thread by zillinois "Possible Hotchkis Sway Bar fix" that has all the details, they have many sizes. I was amazed at the difference it made, anybody using Hotchkis bars should install these collars, it's cheap and easy and a big improvement.

yeah, I had the clunking going on after I installed the Hotchkis Sways, but after I purchased and installed the collars, they worked like a charm - it was like night and day...

I highly recommend the Hotchkis Sways as long as you install the collars with them...

I have the Hotchkis F&R sways and they squeeked at first, but after receiving the correct grease from Hotchkis and applying that sufficiently along with the collars mentioned above, I couldn't be any happier. Hotchkis all the way!!!

I believe that the front bar is thicker and the rear is the same, but don't quote me on this.

Here is the thread about the collars

Thanks, it wouldn't suprise me if they are different sizes since the G is longer and weights a bit more (and wider?).
