Crawford Plenum, Kinetix Cats, Injen CAI, Custom Y-pipe, and the Headers...pretty much need exhaust and the ECU. Both are expensive at this point though.

You know, I have the same problem. It started after I had the installed the Kinetix plenum. I already had:

Injen CAI, Stillen dual exhaust, Kinetix High flow cats, light weight fly wheel, and UR pullies.

I just figured it was the because of all the mods as well. I'm glad to now I wasn't the only one to have this problem. I just blip the throttle when I go to restart after the car is warm. When it's cold it has no problem. With the headers added to mix, it hasn't changed. But I figured I'd have it fixed when I go and get the ECU re-flashed at Techno-square.

Just a little more info for you guys. Oh! and buy the way, I haven't noticed any loss in power. The power just seems to keep going up.

Later,

Ray

OBII- on board diagnostics 2

This is a way to monitor emissions in your vehicle with 2 O2 sensors- pre and post cat. This has nothing to do with Technosquare...

Actually, I'm not...

What is OBD-II?

On-Board Diagnostic systems are in most cars and light trucks on the road today. During the '70s and early 1980's manufacturers started using electronic means to control engine functions and diagnose engine problems. This was primarily to meet EPA emission standards. Through the years on-board diagnostic systems have become more sophisticated. OBD-II, a new standard introduced in the mid-'90s, provides almost complete engine control and also monitors parts of the chassis, body and accessory devices, as well as the diagnostic control network of the car.

you can read the rest here....

What is OBD-II?

You probably saw them use a scan tool to see what code you were throwing...

Actually the car was not giving any obd2 codes at all. What Eric was refering to is called the Consult 2. It makes a typical scan tool look like a fisher price play toy. It can tell you everything that is going on on your cars CAN system and allow you to update and adjust different parameters. That thing is worth some loose pocket change. Over 6 grand to give you an idea and every Nissan/Infiniti dealer has one.

well I got this problem fixed by raising the idle a tad but I still have a pretty big problem...car sounds a little raspy. I was told by Eric that it could be because of the HF cats but I'm thinking it could be my 'custom' y-pipe...He told me there are small leaks coming from the y-pipe not fitting perfect. I'm thinking about putting on the stock Y-pipe and seeing if that makes a difference. I know with any air leaks my car sounds raspy (seeing as how there was a bolt missing in the y-pipe a long time ago and caused a horrible rasp). What do you guys think?
Thanks for all the responses

What's the diameter of the y pipe? If it's too big, your car will run like crap (lost lots of low end until I got it dialed in). This happened to one of my other cars.

the piping is 2 1/4...Eric said there were small exhaust leaks at the flanges though...which makes me wonder if that's what's causing the rasp.

Dont know about the cats, but the plenum installed perfectly fine and sounds nice! But then again, I don't really know what "rasp" sounds like so I may be having it without even knowing? Anyone wanna clarify as to what raspiness sounds like?

A good exhaust shop will be able to get rid of the leaks. Not only will your car run better, it will be a step in the right direction to getting things sorted out.

rasp is pretty much anything that doesn't sound stock or deeper. It sounds more high pitched like a metallic sound. I'm thinking of just throwing on the stock Y-pipe to see if that does anything.

jus' remember, after installing all those things to make your car breathe better, you will run pretty lean....somewhere in the 14's, which is pretty bad. there's lots of threads around here about it.
