6"2 and can't fit in a G35?
I've tried an 05 and an 03. I'm 6"2 and while driving, my hair is scraping the celling. I've got spiky hair and its about 2" long. In a 350Z, i've got about 3" on top of my spikes. And yet according to autos.msn.com, the G35 has 1" MORE headroom than the 350Z. In reality, it looks like 3" LESS. What's the deal here? Did the G35s i use have improperly configured seats or something? I've tried messing with them every which way, but they're just up too high. That or the roof is too low.
Same problem for me.
Nissan saleswomen explained that it was the 4 door G35 that had all the headroom. I drove one and she was correct.
I ended up with the Z. No regrets.

I don't recall the specs, but if the G has a sunroof, you loose an inch or more of headroom. Without the sunroofs, the coupe has about 1" more than the Z, and the sedan has about 1" more than the coupe.
Also, I seen claims that putting a coupe seat into a sedan, you get another inch (but possibly loose seat features...)
I'm 6', but unusually tall in the seat, so I hit the ceiling in all except the sedan..
I assume the seats were in their lowest positions?

There is a way to lower the sedan seats about anothe inch or so. If you do a search on g35driver.com in the sedan section you'll find it.
It was to do with moving the lock nuts that are on the rails. You can adjust them out allowing for the seat to lower even more than factory.
Of course that is if you are looking at the sedan.

I'm 6'-4" and had the same problem with my head just rubbing the top of the G35 Coupe roof... I ended up going with the G35 Sedan, lots more headroom... What happens when your tall is that you have to push the seat all the way back, when you do this your now sitting under the part of the roof that is sloping down.... You could always buy a 350z Roadster, lots of headroom in that
I let a friend of mine drive my G coupe. He's 6'2" 190lbs and had no problems with head room. Maybe try adjusting the seat a little?? I, myself, am 6'0 and had some head room issues when i first bought the car. I played around with the settings and now i have more than enough room. Try tilting the seat back a little bit, it should help.
6'3" and plenty of headroom (however I don't have a sunroof) - I adjusted to seat to it's lowest point and then adjusted the seat cushion to where it's fully reclined (not the seat back - it's actually pretty straight up-and-down) - I feel very comfortable at all times, and I can even squeeze into the car with my Bell helmet on!
yea, when i first sat in a G coupe, i did'nt fit. Man, i was sooo mad, annoyed the hell outta me. Then i messed with the seats and i managed to fit with alittle bit of room. Still tight though.
BTW....Im close to 6'3, and that car had a moonrood
