Default 1st kill..(G35)

Well me and my fiancee went out to dinner tonight and on the way back into town we ran into a G35 coupe while on the highway. This a guy who I know as an acquaintance, anyhow we ended up at a light and when it went green we went for it. Suprisingly, it was seemingly an easy defeat, he got the jump with his car being a manual but we ate him for breakfast all the way till we shut down at about 110 mph. We pulled over to shoot the **** and found that he was slightly modded. He had replaced the intake with a 350 intake, (something to do with the restrictive baffling in the infinti stock intake), and he had a full stillen exhaust. So needless to say we were happy with our first kill. Anways, just thought the community would like to hear...........

So did you just pretty much push the pedal down?

I would have to 2nd that.....I have an '05 G and I ran an '03-04 Z and I beat him. Not by much, but it was still a win in my colum. I was stock as he was also. I'm trying to get to the track friday night, but it's not looking to good for me. Still trying to duck a previous engagement.

Guys im not a liar! It was not a massacre or nothing only about 3/4 of a car length but a kill nonetheless. Sorry to offend any G owners in here but im only telling the truth, and yes all I had to do is hold the pedal to the floor. And I believe he had some trouble shifting, either way he lost twice in a row. Once from a stop and once from a roll-on. Thanks, Jamie...

I also vouch for that. I raced StarcraftBW before and let me say hes got some speed. And the G is no walk in the park.

And if he would have won I would have simply congradulated him. I dont care much who wins a race or not, I simply love cars for what they are. I then in turn would have asked him however to follow me to my house so that I could pull the rx7 out of the car garage and asked him if he would like to run again. Anyways, not trying to ruffle any feathers I love both the Infiniti and our Z, and hey, we met a new friend to cruise on Sundays with....

You guys are funny. First off ANYTHING can happen on the streets. Secondly a stock 350Z is faster than a G35 with ztube and exhaust. The Ztube gives the G35 the same power as the 350Z but the G still weighs a lot more. Exhaust does nothing for the car, power wise, so the G will probably put down about the same amount of power. Factor in the weight difference and you have the Z winning by about a carlenth or so, like DVSseven said.

I own a 05 G35 so I am not biased.
