Thumbs up Fluidampr, soon...

what's up all. i did a search on this subject, and was quite surprised that i didn't find anything. did anyone know that the fluidampr pulley is comin' out very soon?

i e-mailed Fluidampr back in february and they gave the inevitable "couple of months" answer. well, lookin' at their website, they already have a part # (640902) for it, and summit racing says they will have them on the 5th of may.

i know the issue has been discussed time and again about vibrations, dampening from the crank pulley, etc, etc, etc, so i don't really want to get that started again. but fluidampr has been around for a long, long, long time (those that do the domestic thing know this). anyone needin' more info, jus' go to fluidampr's site.

it may prove to be an alternative to UR for those that are worried.

as far as i know, you're right. the stock one weighs in around 12-13lbs i think. lookin' at the unorthodox site, it looks as if their pulley is only 2lbs. so the fluidampr may not be as light as the UR, but now you don't have to worry about boggin' off the line or coupling it with a lightened flywheel.
