i've had both the Fujitsubo and now the Tanabe Touring Medallion.
The Fuji is a great sounding exhaust, and if you can live with the larger size tips, it's great.
Tanabe will be coming out with a new exhaust around the summer of 2005. I've attached pictures of both exhaust for you to compare. I am currently running the prototype version of this exhaust.
The sound from the Tanabe exhaust is simply mesmerizing. Slightly louder than the Fuji at idle.
Both are extremely well made. If I recall, the Fuji has a larger piping diameter compared to the Tanabe.
Both will net you dynos in the 7-10 rWHP range at peak RPM. Slightly more if you add their respective Y-Pipes.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

I went for the Invidia G200 Dual System. I had an "H" Pipe welded in. The system fits great. All connections are bolt and flange, no chance for leaks. Great sound, not to loud, but deep. No drone and I have mine pared with Crawford Cats. Fully Polished Stainless Steel with Polished Titanium Tips. I'm glad I waited for this one.

Pro1 headers, kinetix Hf cats, Injen SES - deep, loud, and mean as hell!
I'm sure the exhaust will quiet down after I create a custom Y-pipe connector to bolt up to the down pipe of either the Turbonetics or APS ST kit this winter...

Since I only have heard Nismo in person, how do these two compare at idle and when revving through the rpm?
Which one is quieter bettern the new Tanabe and Fuji and HKS? Deeper tone?

Have you heard these? Take these clips for what they are worth. They are on Z's and well they are sound clips from a camera which are not as true to what you would hear in person, but at least you get an idea of their sound.

Check out www.sportzmagazine.com and notice we did an exhaust shoot out. This article/data may help you make a choice that will match your goals.
Remember, some owners are more interested in hp, others, sound. Most owners have driven maybe 1 or 2 different Z/G's with aftermarket exhaust. We at SZM tested a bunch of them, dyno'ed them all on the same day and dyno to measure accurate hp/torque gains, and measured the noise output of each.
