Injen intake or JWT?
2005 Infiniti G35 Sedan
Looking to add this simple mod to my car. Which intake is better?
I would like the most gain but don't want it to be too loud?

I have the injen cold air intake and it sounds really nice and looks way better than the pop charger. But if you want easy maintenence than just go for the JWT so it's easier to clean or swap out the filter after it gets dirty.

Yea well go with the Injen hands down over the JWT easy, Jwt is a very simple made intake so simple that i've got a guy that can duplicate it and sell it cheaper but whatever and Intensepower.com sells the injen sp1986 at a pretty good price

By design --cold air-- Injen will make more power. The JWT, is obviously cheaper, however, and easier to install.

JWT: http://www.intensepower.com/jwtpopchg35.html
Hope this helps!

These are the dyno results offered by each manufacturer, and, as such are empirical data. If you did independent dyno tests with each of these intakes, on a bone stock Z, and the JWT made more horespower, I'm sure Injen would love to know about it. Until then, the Injen makes more peak horsepower.

What do you guys know about plenums?
Where can i get one for my G35 Sedan?
Are they worth it? Do I lose anything by adding it? Is installation easy? I do have a shop at my disposal.

i have the injen but I am not running it cold air anymore so I was thinking about switching to JWT. The pop charger utilizes the oem intake tube though right? b.c. I gave away my z tube at one of the meets I was at last year =/

Well I got the Injen installed today. At first glance I was pissed because it said I needed to remove the bumper. If I had known that ahead of time I wouldn't have got it. However, with my dad owning a shop we had access to an endless supply of tools to get it done.
There are 6 bolts under the drivers side front end that hold a piece of plastic in place blocking access to the underside of the engine. If you remove these, you can fold it away and install the filter to the new Injen tube. This must have shaved hours off the install.
Works good and sounds stock at idle. However, when I get on it it sounds like a ricer. It's okay, because if I am going fast, who cares what it sounds like. It prolly doesn't help that I have been a domestic guy for years. I also have a 1967 GTO ... it sounds a bit different :-)
Just thought I would share.
I also have post-install pics up: http://pics.jasonw.net/2005InfinitiG35
