hey everybody...im puttin on my volks right now and theres a piece(the rusty piece) thats in the way and isnt lettin me put the rim in all the way on. I screwed it off and they fit perfectly now....just wondering if i really need it?

 

If you are refering to that small bolt on the front wheels, then no you do not need it. It is only there to prevent putting the rear wheels on the front and vice versa due to the staggered wheel fitment for the G.
