Question Z tube question....

I purchased a Z tube for my '05 G35 coupe that I bought 2 weeks ago. I was wondering if I install the Z tube will it void my new car warranty? Thanks in advance for replies, Dylan.

It's ok to install it yourself. Here's the install guide:

Infiniti can't insist you have everything done at the dealer's, like oil changes, brake pad changes, exhaust tube swap-out - that's like the Infiniti dealer saying they won't work on the interior of your car because you installed an air freshner in there and it corrupted the normal Infinit smell...

It can void your warranty if the dealer determines that the said mod is a direct cause of any warranty related issues. However, I think that would be highly unlikely in this case with the Z Tube.

Heh heh, I think it's 7hp.

I installed mine about a week ago. Good time to plunk down some money for either the K&N reusable or the Amsoil EA Nano air filter, since you will have the tube disassembled anyway.

Everyone recommends it because it is wider (3 in) in diameter and gets rid of the restrictive baffles.
