03, 04, or 05 G35 coupe?
I m planning to buy get a second hand G35 coupe
as far as i know, they all seem to look the same to me
and also is it worth to get a navi? i understand the coolness factor of it, but how about its usefulness? and is the M6 engine really better than the 287 hp one? and does GPS cost any monthly fee of some short?
and one last thing, what should i look for when i buy a second hand G35?
Please help me!

I was in the same dilemma as you a few months ago. I was swinging between the '03, '04 and '05.
From my research, this is what I found (others feel free to chime in if I'm incorrect).
Essentially, the '03 and '04 Coupes are almost identical. I think there were subtle differences but none that you can notice.
The biggest changes occur when you hop up to the '05. The "faux" aluminum dash accents are replaced by genuine brushed aluminum. And, I've heard the leather on the '05's is supposed to be a bit "softer." (I sat in an '05 and couldn't tell the difference). There are other subtle differences but you have to really have them sit side-by-side, and go in and out of them to compare.
Engine wise, as the previous poster said, the '05 manual transmission gets a bit of boost in horsepower. The automatic versions between the years remains the same. Also, I believe only the '03 and '04's have the Brembo brake option.
As far as the navigation option, I needed it. It's been great and I no longer have to stop and try to memorize locations from my Thomas Guide. And, there is not monthly fee. If you like the "OEM" look, you'll want a car with the Nav already installed. However, you can get an aftermarket one later but be prepared to pay $$$ to attempt an OEM look.
I, myself, opted for an '04. I looked far and wide for an "gently" used '05 but there were too few when I was ready to buy and an '04 in the color with the options I wanted popped up and I couldn't resist. And, back then, I heard rumors of a style change happening in either '07 or '08 and thought I'd take less of a hit when it does happen.
Good luck in your search. I've had mine now for three months and still look forward to driving it!

Thanks flipper!
how about the keys for 03~05 ?? are them all the same ? I mean the "smart Keyless entry system"...
It unlocks the car when you push a button on the door handle, letting you in without having to take the key out of your pocket.

The extra HP you get from 05+ doesn't really make a diffrence if you're going to be modding it anyway.
And I personally like my 04 dash
if you look at all the g's you see around.. barely any have the brembo's so for me i had to have them.. plus i had 350z when it first came out and the only thing i didnt have on the 350 was the brembos..so i did get a BBK but it was a waste since i coulda already had brembos and could have spent all that $$ on FI.. so lemme think.. brembos/dash... brembos won VERY easily.. and the new motor.. nothing a TT/SC wont fix!
greddy: i was looking for a white w/ brembos and it was tough to find!! even a DG was tough for me to find..

Ehh, I have an 04 and yes the brembo's are pretty nice but if you dont track your car then its just for the bling factor.
I like the 05s mainly because of the new Dash, gauge cluster and 19" oems ,to me it looks way more classy not to mention the 18 extra HP.
Also ive read the M Dyne spacers do wonders for the Rev up motors as well.
Anybody wanna trade for my 04??
