G35 coupe or sedan? I might take a beating here but if they cost the same I'd probably go for the BMW. There is a reason it makes Top 10 lists year after year.

imo... (biased)
the BMW dealer gives u awesome service when you have warranty
everything is FREE so that makes up for reliability anyway... they give you a free BMW courtesey vehicle to drive when urs is in the shop...
now
the G coupe is more powerful... but in some areas its not unique at all (my area cuz everyone's got one aka gay)
wait for new BMW 335I... then balance shifts
the BMW will be more expensive

If you can get the 330 ZHP (comp package) w/ the 6-speed i'd go for that... it handles well, luxurious, and surprisingly quick (nearly the same level as the E36 M3) - and free maintenance under warranty is good

HOnestly, its probably because i have a VQ engine, but i say G. Also i see less G35C's around than 330's...plus ur talking 04 so its not even the new style. G has more of a sporty feel IMO. Plus how can you even start to compare exhaust notes?? lol

i picked 04 because i am not feeling the new BMW's i like the e46 body, and i know its been around for a while, also looking at price range to keep about the same, exaust notes? that can be fixed with a nice exhaust, i think

Go with the G for two reasons. It's more powerful, it's cheaper to mod. imo it also looks way better as well. And you can always count on Japanese engineering =)

Most importantly, test drive them if you can

I didn't believe the hype about the feel of the M3 when I drove the G35 around but when I got behind the wheels of the M3, and I still do now, I had a joy that I never had before in a car. That's not saying the G35 ain't a bad car, but its important to test around cause you never know
