Oh, c'mon. Your parents are the actual owners.

LOL I'm an auto loan officer and a 17yr isn't allowed to purchase a car or finance a car yet...because you're not an adult! You are not allowed to sign a legally binding contract without a suitable co-signer. So you can say you're on the title all night long, but in your case is most likely your mom or dad is too. BTW the financing bank can put an additional person on the title so long as the signer (or another financially responsible party) is on it as well.

i'm 18, i have a 03 350 and it's under my dad's name, but i give him the monthly payment, he could pay for it if he wanted to, but i really wanted the car and he wants me to work for it, so i do, 2 jobs, usually 70-80 hours a week, so i pay that along with my rent (moved out) so yeah i basically pay for all of my bills, cellphone food gas EVERYTHING
but yeah i guess it technically is his car hahaha

Your right I dont have any real bills, or rent to pay. I do have to pay half of my gas and half of my insurance. Which i agree isnt near as much as i would have to pay in the real world, but im not some spoiled stuck up brat. Im fairly level headed. Especially for a 17 year old.

Your also right, although i thought in texas 17 was considered an adult. But yes your right, my Dad is also on the title. I am also paying off my z, not through the bank, or dealership but through my dad. I also work 2 jobs as someone else previously stated. So before anyone assumes im some spolied brat, your completely wrong, and should meet me first.

Lightbulb twenty-four years...

but it looks like there's younger. Not sure what the goal is here. I guess we are just taking a tally? If paying for it makes me a gawd then yes, it is true. i do (through the teeth). lol

i am sure you also own your own home and pay other bills besides a car payment and insurence.
1/2 the gas? 1/2 the insurence?

PSA: Youngest Z, G owners. Please don't say "the title is in my name" or "I pay for it all by yourself". That really has no meaning when your parents pay for food, housing, clothing, school, utilities, insurance, gas, medical bills, food...etc. Hell I could probably put a car under my dog's name and he's doesn't even take out the trash.

EDIT: I'm too late... someone went and posted both of those "don't"'s
