06 sedan auto vs. 07 sedan auto testdrive
Well, I went for a couple test drives last weekend and decided to look at a used 06 G35 sedan. It was a base model plus sunroof and that's about it. It drove pretty well, had enough power, handled well, looks decent, interior is nice etc. All for around $25k used. I could drive this car.
Then, I made the mistake of driving an 07 sedan auto, sport, premium package. I was hoping there wouldn't be much of a difference.
I was wrong.
It is significantly faster. Feels like 50 extra hp, not 26. The paddle shifters were way more fun too. Interior was significantly nicer. Stereo was one of the best sounding stock stereos I've heard (two 10" subwoofers will do that though). Push button start was cool. Plus, you can plug in an ipod, dvd player, video game system, etc. to run off of the stock 7" lcd screen. And it's better looking overall IMO.
Unfortunately, I'd be lucky to get that one at $35k plus plus plus.
$10,000 difference in price.
Looks like I'll have to wait till a used 07 comes around cheaper. That may be a while though.
