500 Horsepower AWD G37 and G37 Convertible in 2009.

this is all speculation anyway, so I speculate it will be RWD, only slightly heavier than the current G35 (they'll learn from this year's extra weight mishap), faster than the GTR in a straight line, and on par in pricing than the GTR MSRP.
lol - j/k of course - how can anyone have a legitimate clue?
until someone buys it, runs it and puts it on the scales, we won't know...

It's always been that way though... hype, hype, hype... then (IMO) the G37 let down...
so when the forums start a buzz, it's funny that it reverts to issues or ideas that were brought up months sometimes years prior...
Makes you wonder if Nissan has moles out here...
Nothing, I mean NOTHING is pronounced or speculated that hasn’t already been mentioned to death already....
When the f-ing car is out (speculated turbo G that is) it will be a home run or a piece of cr@p like the G37... I've hedged my bet way before the G37 came out... the turbo version is the home run and out of the park... in the mean time - sorry for the newbies that bought the trial version.
The Z vs G saga… it’s always been that way – always will be… like it or not we are related. One of us is always going to want to kick the others @ss (metaphorically of course)… but if a Toyota/Lexus, Honda/Acura, Mitzy*****y, etc. get involved – I’m always behind the Nissan Badge – and back Zs as much (well almost as much) as Gs!

Actually I have a "G" and she is a heavy pig... even heavier wih my audio / video... I am prolly right around 4K lbs... I don't pretend to be the fastest cause I know I am not... If you look at what the GT-R is built for VS the "G"... How can the GT-R NOT be lighter than the G37?

If you are simply comparing the GTR (to be) to the current G37 - then????????? I'm not sure why there is a topic?... The G37 isn't in the same ballpark. But it's not what anyone in his or her right mind would compare to the upcoming GTR...
Apples to Oranges?...

Also, speculation really won't do anything. I will wait for the official specs of the GT-R until I start a conversation about it; although im going to assume that the GT-R will be lighter since the GT-R is a dedicated performance car.

last i heard the gtr is going to have a 3.8L tt not a 3.7. Also, if thats the case for the g37 theres not going to be alot of those driving around. The gtr already costs alot so that means the g37 awd tt would be more?? the Z is $27,000 and the g is $33,000 starting with no tax and licensing fees.

Guess we won't know anything certain until the official word.
Yeah, I think if a G37 AWD TT becomes a reality, it will most certainly be more expensive than the GT-R. It would only make sense...
I think Nissan/Infiniti is stepping up to another level

Lol, not outta gold... but with 5 TV's (1 being a 21")- 2 10W6's in 4080 boxes - 2 JL amps (they are heavy b's) - and my enclosure... it all frickn adds up... I can't fit my car on my bathroom scale but I would not be surprised if she was pushing 4K

I feel that there will be a G37 coming out soon with more power to go up against the M3, Lex and Benz but my feeling is that they are going to slap a
V8 under the hood of the G37. I also feel that will be a more logical way to have the Nissan GTR and a performance based Infiniti not conflict with each other. Think about it.
Yes a G37TT or G38TT sounds great but look at all other Infiniti brands FX35/FX45 , M35/M45, etc etc etc. so the G is the only modle that only has one engine option I felt they would have done this with the previous G35 but it seems Infiniti is getting serious and want to dethrone BMW.
I'll tell you right now that is why I'm waiting sure the G37 is a very nice car but the # don't excite me I am one that hated the design of the G37 and still didn't like it when I saw it at the NY car show but I have to tell you I went to the dealer and saw the car side by side with my 35 and I feel it is well built with a nice design, Driven the car sells itself. after comparing the two I felt like my 04 dash felt like a civic ,but anyway still love her for another two years, I need at least 400hp next time around so anyway Infiniti wants to do the job TT or V8 just make sure it performs with some good #'s and you can sign me up for one. if not that new M3 looks pretty sweeeeeeeeet. my 2.5 cents.
