Yes but is this so bad? I mean the Altima 3.5 starts in the high 20k range... it is just as expensive as a Z and a little less expensive than a new G35C. Is it so bad that it is mistaken for a G35 and vise versa when they are so close in value?

the problem?? ---> he has really tall torso.

your friend i bet has really looooong legs but short torso.
Good point!
My friend doesn't appear extraordinarily tall when he is sitting. When he stands it's like Whoh! Where did you come from?

OK I looked it up. The G has 1.2 inch more leg room and 1 inch more head room than the Z, unless you get the sun roof which is said to reduce it by one inch.

So, if you get the sun roof, the head room happens to be the same.

The rear side window is similar. That about it. Check those eyes because the rears have nothing in common.

I would never put a sunroof on a car that doesnt come with one on it...especially a Z. It would compromise the body integrity and if it got into a crash would cause significantly more damage to the body and potentially to the driver!!

The G has much cheaper insurance, and the back seats just make it more practical. The Z of course is faster.

I just traded in my 04 Z for an 06 G.

I have to be honest, I have mixed feelings on the subject. The Z was great for moving around, and being intouch with the road, but the G is just so much nicer on the inside, and is close enough to the Z experience that I am deff. enjoying it.

The back-seat was my main motivation though. I have kids, and my wife has been very understanding to date on me having only 2 seats, but it does become an issue from time to time.. This eliminates that issue and gives me a much nicer / smoother commute...

haha, yea i know what you mean about the two girls thing. I love it!

First things first, both are great cars, and are the sexiest things on the road!

Ok, I have an 06 Z touring package, and I have two friends with G's. I've driven both cars considerably. I really dont care too much for interior as I love to drive and hate distractions, that being said, you know why I own a Z.

The driving impressions of both cars is really different, the Z is a sports car, a true sports car, where as the G is not. It is heavier, suspension is not as tight, and thus sacrifices is "sporty" feel.
Also, im at a point in my life where I dont need more than two seats, and honestly the trunk space in the infiniti is only slightly bigger than an S2000's, and thats saying something! (yes I know it has back seats )

Finally, if you are not going to drive it aggressively and have your way on the track/road course, then there is no need for the Z.

So you must ask yourself, this, what kind of driver are you??

I was in between a G and a Z....I bought the G tho I liked the luxury that came with it, the extra space comes in handy, and I personally think the G looks sexier, performance is good too, but I have to admit not as good as the Z. Get the G FTW!
