It won't be until feburary most likely till I test fit it. I figure since I have acess to a motor with the turbo setup I am looking for I might as well look into it for fun.

Sorry for the delayed response... I'm using all new parts. I'll be selling the greddy kit as soon as my other project car (95 Eclipse GSX) is up and running reliably.

Fully Built 4G63 w/ 76mm Schwitzer Turbo

Piston rings came in today. This was the missing link to the build. Now the machine shop can get to work on the balancing.

lol sorry, I got the block at the machine shop. It will most likely be done tomorrow or Friday. As soon as I get it back I'll post a few pics of the build as it progresses.

I'm especially curious to know what will be involved in fitting the motor in the car. New motor mounts in a different location than stock is a must, I assume. Will you have to do any mods to the frame?

Looking forward to your updates on this.

Man that is going to be sick not to mention probably sound sick too!

Its gonna really turn heads when people hear a boosted V8 sound from a G35.

Man I wish I had this motivation.

Awesome job so far.

tecni,

You listed that the motor mounts are installed. Was any custom fab or relocation involved? Also, are you going with solid mounts?

BTW... That motor is looking nice.

Its been two exhausting days to put this motor together and get everything done right. There's still a few things so far that I'm not crazy about (like the pulleys). I've been considering perhaps anodizing them deep purple to match the Wilson Manifold fuel rails and offset the polished shine. Also, I painted the thermostat housing silver which I don't think looks very good with the cast iron look of the motor so I'll be looking into perhaps getting it polished or chromed out. Its all cosmetic stuff but I really want this motor to look as good as it will run.

THanks for the support!
