I remember we had a 91 Ford Explorer that was actually BUILT on my birthday, and we had a green 93 Taurus SHO. (both those cars were amazing lol)

I say G35 all the way. At one point in time, I thought it would be cool to have a fast, sporty SUV. I thought it would be the perfect blend of utility and performance. Then I drove my friend's modded GMC Typhoon. (For the young kids, stats on a stock GMC Typhoon SUV were: 5.3 0-60 and 14.1 qtr mile.) Sure it was fast in a straight line, but in the end, it felt like a fast, poor handling, poor riding SUV.

No matter how you mod the Trailblazer, it will never feel sporty. IMO, a Trailblazer SS would just be too much of a compromise.

Actually, iv test driven a newer TBSS, and have read reviews on them. They say it handles very similarly to a 'sports sedan'. I imagine it would feel like a bigger G35X.

And i cant afford a new one haha

I like the G35 sedan, and the SS, they are both very nice.

The only thing I would worry about with the SS is the mpg, and the fact that it is a chevy, and I dont know much about how reliable they are.

+1 on the Maggie. On the throttle he would never know the boat was there.....on the brakes....that's a different story, lol.

LS2's tend to drink oil at a pretty high rate. That's about the only knock against them.

If you could get an SS under $20K, I would go with that. What year and how many miles on the SS? I have looked around and $25-$27K seems the going rate for a slightly used 06-07.

Trailblazer is slower on the top speed being limited to 130mph.

04 G35 sedan can hit 151mph.
