Chris (Evil350z or PhoenixINX) here... reporting live from the shop.
After a case of beer, and much bird shooting... we had the G35 apart!
Good luck team we're 90% sure the plenum is going to fit. Strike that, we're 100% sure it will fit. Though NOT sure if it will clear the insulation under the hood which was one of those nice perks of buying an Infiniti... How cute.
Stay tuned for more information... untapping the power of a G35, it just gets more and more fun around here.

Hey...that engine looks awfully familiar!!!
Scorch, i was down there (obviously as that is my G), and they are still working out some prices, but I am sure they can get you all the information you need.
They need a G35 to dummy with and make sure it clears the hood, and if I had another car to get around I would let them use mine. So it is close to being an actual.
btw...the birds got away WAAAY more than they fell...haha...

Sorry I missed you guys, had to take out a co-worker who is leaving for a new job. I get to take a personal day (night) away from the shop every once in a while.
Oh and by the way, Shooting birds outside of the shop is not an everyday thing, just an every other day thing! They like too poop on the cars, we don’t have that!
It should be noted that no animals were harmed in the production of the plenum.
I shot two for four...
and the two I missed were the two closer ones...

Adam instead of autox on Sunday, how about we go out and find MORE to shoot!

Question: Will your modified strut tower brace fit the G35 Coupe? A brace such as the Z's won't fit due to hood clearance issues, but it looks like yours should fit; may just need slightly revised brackets. Keep us posted.

The strut bar might work but you would first have to get the afterthought
nut plate brackets that are on the Z and weld them to the strut towers on your G

If you noticed comparing my two shots against VandyZ's pick, those add on pieces that step up the tower area that the bolts go into I believe are what Doug means are not there on the G35C, so you'd have to have something fabricated to create the mounting surface (not sure you could buy those from Nissan).
It might just be easier to have somebody custom fabricate something shaped to bolt to the top of the towers of the G35C than to try to find a way to use the Z's mounts. Bar could be used, though, once the mount was there.
(Disclaimer: I'm not trying to speak for Doug or anybody else involved in these things, I've just seen what they are talking about).

so the insulation on my g35 has to be cut or taken out completely?
'Nother question: So how much is too much for the VQ? I'm also interested in the ATI Procharger setup for my car and I assume your plenum would offer beneficial performance gains with that application as well, though at that point, I'm getting a bit concerned for the engine. According to what Greddy and Top Secret are learning, the VQ is good to 400hp; beyond that, stronger rods are needed at the very least. With the Procharger and the plenum, am I pushing it? The car is my daily driver and I want it to last. I like the idea of turning it into an M3 killer, but don't really want to mess with internal upgrades or drastically reduce engine life. Any opinions? Basically, I know I want the Procharger, though it may be a year or so before I get one to ensure the car is well broken in first, but would the plenum be a safe addition on top of the s/c or should I just stick with the s/c alone?
OK, reading back through this, I realize this is almost impossible to answer, since we're dealing with new components, untested over the long run, but I'd still like any opinions.
