here are my top 5 valid excuses for running streched tires:

1- a person makes a mistake

2- availability of wider sizes

3- a person gets bad advice

4- a person couldnt affort bigger(wider) tires or roll fenders

5- a person likes DNF's BaWLz in YO MouF!!!

Yeah youre totally right.
I couldnt afford rolling my fenders so i got them cut for about 3 times more.
Go read a book about low offsets.

And there it is....thats what we have been trying to say.....
I am too lazy to read everything you stated....but if I am not wrong, you said that you picked up these rims from someone that had them on his/her G. I would love to see the new rims that that person has now

BTW: IIQuicksilverII and RudeG are far from being Noobs.....

But you could have rolled them for basically free instead you paid to get them cut, and soon to have rust that will come. Sad.

im running a +4 offset in the rear with 10.5" rim. yes it sticks out a little but nothing like the "4x4" look you seem to think they have. first thing sharif told me when i spoke with him after he received my car was, "your car looks nice, with the volks and everything." sharifs sees volks on Z's everyday but you know he was probably commenting on? my stance. my stance more aggressive than the op's more than likely buts not going to rub or damage anything.

looking at the pics, i still cant understand where some of you guys are thinking that he is going to rub his rim on the fender. this has been done before even more of a drop and they do not rub the rim, i understand your concern but its unwarranted.
