Not really... When the Z first came out I was thinking about getting one but no rear seats... I got the "G" for the room and the comfort and am glad I did. I still really like the Z but I would not trade my "G" for one in this lifetime.

Both great cars! The Z feels more nimble and sportier than the G. The G has more of a luxury touring car feel.

I had a G coupe and now own a Z.

I miss my G... but I like my Z! Why compromise... buy both!

I was set on a Z when I bought the G... the only reason I got G is because professional considerations forced me to need 4 seat for clients...

The Z is hands down the most fun car I've ever driven... I made the mistake of telling sales manager that the car speaks for itself and I didn’t even need to converse with a salesman (mistake because a statement like that takes all the leverage away from buyer)...

Anyway - fun factor and performance definitely goes to the Z... there are many things abut the G I prefer - but without passenger needs I would be in a Z (BTW, I don’t have passenger needs anymore and yes I considered selling the sedan and getting G, but with all that I've done to the car, I'm not considering it anymore - besides, I've beat plenty of Zs )

Edit: as stated a few posts above - buy both... I may do that eventually... I wouldn't do coupe and Z, but sedan and Z is a good combo

I love Z's but no back seat was a deal breaker. I didnt wanna have to sell my car if I had a kid. Orange Z's are one of my all time favorites.

Most of the time its someone going from a Z to a G. But there are a few times where G drivers end up with a Z. Both are similar cars with different personalities.

Z is the sportier version, G is the classier version.

G Coupe is a little pricier, but you get more ammenities & luxury. Z is a little less expensive, and you get less...weight

Can't go wrong with buying both Mike. Having the sedan as a DD and Z as a weekend car sounds fun. And yes, having a G Coupe & Z at the same time is a bit redundant. But that's not the case for the G Sedan & Z.

As for me, I'd opt for an S2000. Something different is always good. G35 Coupe + S2k =

Henry are you eyeing an S2K now?

It'll make you dizzy trying to race yourself in autocross with those 2 cars S2K would be fun indede - but I'm affraid I'd try to make one like Shawn Church's

I wanted a Z originally, but only having 1 car as a daily driver, I chose the G coupe for practicality reasons. It paid off, since on rare occasions, I can take passengers. Also, even with a sub in the trunk, I can fold the seat and carry my golf clubs. I regularly fit 4 wheels/tires inside for AutoX/track. Having bought an SUV last year, I could get away with a 2-seater now.

^^^ for sure the G is much more practical... coupe or sedan.

The Z has virtually no storage space, I didn't like that the glove compartment was behind the passenger seat and there are almost no cubby spaces to put stuff... IMO it's solely a "for fun" car - nothing more than that to me. For business or even everyday practicality it isn’t very versatile. It would be a great 2nd car. the G is a perfect everyday functional car that has potential for competitive spirited driving.

Bought a G over a Z for practicality purposes only... never looked back until I saw a Black Nismo at the dealer Yesterday
