1st Place in car show today with my G Cpe
Well I can't tell you how happy I am to compete in a custom car show today for the very first time in my life and win 1st place in the "Best import sport compact" class! The silly little grin on my face since has been undescribable! I never ever expected to win anything. There were so many tricked out cars that really impressed me and made me feel so out of the loop even as a beginner/amatuer. Granted my car is nearly flawless and was super clean! 02trex and I walked around and realized that I had the cleanest car there! Meant as in, no knicks, scratches, dirt etc. We couldn't believe how dirty or flaws most of these cars had and were competing. Personally I wouldn't even compete if my ride wasn't near perfect. Granted I am very **** and we looked at things like rust in lug nuts (although minor but still), rock chips on front fascia(thank you clear bra!), dirty calipers on some and just little picky things. Ok, I presented a clean car but that is about all the credit that I am personally going to take. Yea I've invested in some wheels, rotors, nitrous just to name a few mods however felt that this was nothing compared to what most of these cars had invested in them. So you ask, then how could you have won? The G cpe is just bad a$$ that's why. It won on style alone! Yes the wheels and other mods helped but the G cpe took everyone's breath away including the judges. My friend 02trex ran his car (as well as mine because I didn't bring any long pants) and EVERYTIME the car came to the staging lane the announcer said "wow, how about these G35 Cpe's! What a hot looking car! But lets see if it has go besides show!". Well 02trex ran a 12.85 in the 1/4 mile! He was running 200 shot too! He then ran my car and my car would NEVER hook up! He stumbled and burned out off the gate and could only hook up to a 14.20 1/4 mile. I can't tell you how disappointed I was. On the second run he eased out the clutch out of the whole and the clutch gave out and slipped down the track so he just shut it down. Man that clutch stunk like hell! On 02's last run in his car his clutch gave way as well. Lesson learned was that our clutches suck and can't handle the additional hp! The clutch came back on both of our cars once they cooled off. Therefore I will be upgrading my clutch in the up coming weeks. Anyway, I want to thank the Capital G club for supporting me today although there were only a few but thanks to 02trex, damen, learn2turn, opimax and Rob for coming out! Click on the link below to check out the pics from the entire show. I will post pics of damen, rob and my car together with this hot model by tomorrow. Enjoy the pics!
