honestly, i hadn't thought of that, but it may look pretty good. i'd be worried about how it'd hold up over time though. we'll see if someone does it...i'm ditching the nismo when if/when i switch to a kuruma or the apr kit.

lol, I just noticed it looks like you painted the rivets on your R1's black, I did the same thing a while back and I love it, looks cleaner eh.... I cut my center caps with a dremel too, they stick out a bit too much I made them flat, check it out...
my rivets are still stock, but i like the ways yours look. as for your center cap, i had always thought they revised the design. nice mod man, looks OEM

yea I just painted the rivets black thats all, and did a little bit of dremel work and silicone gluing with the center caps.....
but here's some pics for you of my lip painted on the Nismo, I did that a long time ago, maybe you didnt see the pics or maybe I didn't post them, in any case this is after 4 months of having it on painted, it held up really good, I just had my shop put some flex additive to make sure the paint flexes since the lip is rubber.... so yea give it a try I'm sure it will come out and exceed your expectations, it did to me

love it. I just dont understand why those wheels are more popular with the g guys then the z guys. The g is more high end but these cheaper wheels are soo much more popular with the g guys than the over priced volks works ect... that us Z owners lust over. I would buy them, I like them and im not hating at all im just sorta confused why that would be.

i think it has to do with a slight preference for looks over performance / weight saving in the g crowd. generally, Zs appeal to folks who want performance & looks while Gs are for people who wants looks & performance. its a very small difference, and although this is a big generality, i think its true for a lot of the ppl who've bought them.

as for me, i wanted 20", 5 spoke wheels with relatively large lips that were rounded at the edges (not squared or angled off). these fit the bill and i've loved them every minute they've been on my car

Good point. I went to the r1 site thinking i would price those wheels, and that model is the only one thats not a knock off! I must say i like them though. I got a quote from wheels next around 2600 (with garbage tires) and honestly for that much ima get some used volks.
LOVE your g though man i think those wheels fit your look perfect i wouldnt change them. (i might have opted for the black lip though )

coolant piping has been chromed, but the rest is polished. hand polishing the timing cover while it was on the car was not fun, but it kept me outta trouble for a few weeks

i'll probably paint the core support, top of grill, and battery covers white to match he car. i don't want too much white though, so the final product will likely be a combination (black covers with red accents & white core support OR white core support, black grill top with white battery covers, OR ....)
