Default G35 AWD question

I read that the g35 c will have a awd option available starting 2004 models. For about 38-40k can someone confirm?

If this is true a 280 bhp car with awd similar to the r34 would be bascially a monster. I am curious if this is true or not. Anyone?

I think I read somewhere that there will be a AWD G35 version I think that it might be out some time around December.
I also know that it was confirmed that there will be a Skyline in the U.S marke sometime in 2005 or 2006 with twin tubo V6 pumping out somewhere 450-480hp. The Skyline won't be labeled under Infiniti.

I know that the skyline is supposed to be shown during this tokyo auto show. The actual desgin not the concept. But not available untill 2005 or 2006. Main thing to remember is numbers change.

As far as the AWD infinity I thought the G35 c had the awd option starting 2004. I didn't know it was only the g35 sedan.

I mean just think AWD g35 c with 280 bhp. Its pretty close to what the r34 was.

I got a feelign that the R34's "280" hp was an intentional underrating, as per the previous hp limits in Japan. Since then, the limits have been disregarded, so anything's possible now.

I mean, theres no way an AWD 280hp car can put down 5.4 second 0-60's and weigh as much as the skyline does. I dunno, just smells a bit to me. And also, the addition of minor mods yeilds so much damn power, smells like an intentional de-tuning to me.

The R34's would actually put down like 315-330 to the wheels stock (although it could have been crank, dont quite remember but more sure of wheels than crank).

The R34 had 330PS at the crank from the factory.

oh yeah, I think they are supposed to drop the intentional underating bit with the release of the new supra and GTR. I dont understand why they would have underating when everyone knows they are putting out more power. Why are they trying to lie to themselves.

Japanese horsepower regulations. That's why all those cars were rated at 276PS or 280PS at the time.

what i heard is that the "US Skyline" is going to be under nissan, and it will be called the Nissan GT-R, because Nissan is splitting up the Skyline and the GT-R family up, essencialy like what Toyota did to the Celica, first there was the ceclica, then there was the celica supra, and now theres the celica and the suppra... and i also heard that the GT-R will most likely be using the vq45de or the vq54de v8 motors (in US only) and 400hp out of a v8 isnt all that impressive unless its the vq45 but that isnt much either, UNLESS thats still N/A tune..

well it's out now and available for $32k msrp. I don't think it's a monster that people expected. Maybe with a turbo kit.

i think he is talking about g35x. I asked that question a long time ago when I first read road & track about the new g35 awd ver of the car.

no it won't be everything that its cracked up to be. BUT with a turbo it could be awsome.
