I would also like to checkout the shop or a z with an ls swapped before i invest this money because mine would be a diy project and seeing what I need to do makes it easier. I live in pa and i wouldnt mind the drive.

Im using this kit for my swap. Its worked great everythings fit with no problem. Im using Chasebays.com for their LSX wiring harness half radiator, power steering, and fuel line . Ends up putting both inlet and outlet on the passenger side closer to the LSX water necks. You get more clearance from the water pump, stock will fit but require some trimming on the fans. To solve the tach problem im using a http://Computechracing.comDataMaxx datalogger dash.

i read whee you said you guesstimate that on avg youll spend 15k on this set up finished... but i dont see where the moneys going.is it mostly labor? i mean 3k sikky kit, walboro, wiring,ps kit,motor/trans,tach,master cylinder... Whats missing? im at about 6.5k maybe? I dont see how a DIY can spend 15k on this set up.

Engine(LS2) ~$5k
Trans~$1.5-3K
Sikky Kit $~3500
Tuning software: $500-650
Clutch/FW: ~$800
Exhaust ~$800-1000 (if you DIY)
Other misc bits and pieces: ~$1000 (minumum)
Other upgrades: Depends on the person, I've got new heads, intake manifold, cam. rocker arms, push rods, blah blah blah. I've got well over $4k in just that crap.
I know I've missed lots of small items but if you leave out my upgrades you're talking $12,300 to whatever you want to spend. Yes there are ways to save a few bucks here and there but I why start cutting corners if you're going this far.
