If you could give any info on the chasebays harness and how you set it up would be awesome.

For sure, we make a brand new harness! Everything is new, plugs, wire, pins, and loom. We take your core VQ harness and use the 3 chassis plugs that plug in next to the battery and pin them for the correct powers and ground for the fuel pump and ECU power and starter signal. The rest is up to you we dont use the nissan ecu.

Most companies that are using the nissan ecu require you to run a separate CAN bus system along with the price of having your factory ECU reflashed to dead mode.

The stock GM ecu will also have to be unlocked with some sort of tuned like HP tuners to clear the VAT's.

If you have any questions or need anything else let me know.
Thanks,
-Logan

Great work. Neat wring. What is the emission's legality of using your style wiring harness.

Here in Wa. you hook up your car to the OBDII port. I assume if I did this to your setup, it would show up as a GTO, Vette or LS powered truck of some sort?

The harness has its own OBD2 DLC plug. Here in Alabama we are lucky and they dont care about emissions. But our harnesses will pass emissions theres nothing the harness changes from the factory except how it is routed, all sensors are still there. If you want to be emissions friendly we normally dont use the secondary o2 sensors but we tailor the harness to your specific need.

If you have any questions or need anything else let me know.

Very nice and cool cars but i just don't get the v8 swap, well i can see doing the swap to get the n/a h.p fore reliability but then . most of these swaps result in the v8 being turbocharged in the end. I would think it would be less of a headache and cheaper to just get a good quality turbo kit 350z/ g35.
But anyways that's just my opinion, we gotta do what makes us happy. enjoy those beast.

No im not running the stock gauges if you look at my previous post im running a Computech Datamaxx LCD dash that datalogs from all of my sensor inputs, and its easily supports any future sensors like EGT ect. The Gauge cluster was cheaper than paying Henson Super cars to reflash the stock ECU, reflash the GM ECU, and pay for the can bus system that they offer. Plus i have tons more options and readouts than the stock Cluster would ever have.

These swaps are great they put down good power, there are tons of go fast parts for the LSX series motor that will make it put down NA what a turbo VQ would. The power goals VS Budget the VQ wasnt going to cut it for me. Iv managed to do this swap for under what a good proven turbo kit would have cost for the VQ. Plus the VQ was not wasted it went into our Chasebays 240 SX Coupe that you can find on www.vqwap.com

ok i see,I assumed these swaps where costing thousands more than a good turbo kit would, I could've swore i read one thread where someone spent about 12,000 grand fore 400 h.p and it just didn't make since to me. but obviously that guy got hosed lol.

It really depends on where you get a motor and transmission from and the swap kit and parts you use. People pay way to much for complete take outs when you can take your time and source out the parts that you need. Yes getting a complete take out is going to take less time to get in and running but i paid 1200 for my LQ9 iron block motor and 2500 for a brand new stage 2 transmission from tick-performance with a 1 yr warranty. Doing your research and parts searching you can save thousands.

If you have any questions or need anything else let me know.

You could buy a great turbo kit and get smoked by a V8 350/G35. You can't compared the two. Great turbo setup 7K, Fuel Upgrade,1K, Exhaust 2K.
V8 4K, Mount Kit 4K. When you drive a V8 350/G35 verses a turbo setup you will see. Also the Vq motors can't handle much boast on stock pistons, rods, cylinder walls. You will spend a lot more building a TT built VQ setup then you will installing a V8. Not to mention the bolt on HP from V8.

Before I decided to install a V8 I sat down and figured every cent with the V8 vs. built motor TT VQ. Pors and cons. V8 took it by far. I can every say that working on the V8 in a 350/G35 bay is way to easy. Try working on the VQ with a turbo setup. Takes forever. I enjoy seeing other people do the V8 setups. This is only my two cents and just backing all of us that decide to put our money to good by buying a V8. Not saying a VQ TT is trash, don't get me wrong, just saying for the price you pay to get the HP and reliabillity you can't beat going with the V8. Nice setup, ready for some dyno numbers.
