Default RT cats... Pulleys...

All I have to say is... sweet.

The RT cats... smelled horrible when the first went on, but really opened up the stock exhaust. I believe it brings out the tone of the stock exhaust tenfold. Think of it as adding ketchup to your hamburger.

Pulleys... mixed feelings toward these. When I first drove the car after the install, they made a horrible squealing noise which was almost embarrassing... after adding about 50 miles on the pulleys, the sound pretty much went away.. some minor squealing in 1st gear but I assume that will go away with time as well.

The car accelerates a bit quicker than it used to, but it could be in my head... who knows. If anything, I got the stock exhaust sounding more gorgeous than it already was.

I figure I added maybe 15 rwhp with the mods I added based on the dynos I've seen on these forums... (Z-tube, K&N, UR Pulley, Cats)

Oh I also added the grounding kit today, which did virtually nothing except make the engine bay look mean.

Does the smell go away once your cats heats up?

Thanks,

You need more belt tension. You should here NO squeel on start up or otherwise. We install a couple sets a week with no noise.

could you possibly make a vid or sound clip of what your exhaust sounds like with the Cats?

I'm considering doing the same thing, putting on RT Cats with stock exhaust and a JWT popcharger for the front.

would you say the exhaust note is noticably louder and/or deeper?

The sound is not deeper by any means, but it is definitely louder... Imagine the stock exhaust that's 2x louder. You should definitely get the Z-tube along with the popcharger for maximum results.
