Default 370Z to G37

Unfortunately my 370Z was destroyed in a rear end collision in May, and I needed a new car fast. I had been driving the 350Z/370Z for about 11 years, and wanted something different.

Originally I was shopping for the G37 Sport, but when I saw the IPL, I knew that this was the car for me. The IPL engine is similar to the 370Z NISMO: plenty of punch for a sedan that weighs about 4,000 pounds.

Very pleased with my decision.

Sorry for your loss. Glad you stayed in the family. Car looks awesome. IPL is a great choice.

Nor certain about the tint, but it is a bit precarious at night. If a vehicle was on the roadway with no headlights (as drunks often do) I would not be able to see it from the sides or rear.

Very nice- beyond the weight difference, can you feel the longer wheelbase in the G coupe? It should make the Infiniti more stable in high speed transitions. Did you also have the seven speed auto in your last Z?

Sit inside and the G37 feels like a luxury coupe with plenty of leather and brushed aluminum around. But it drives like a sports sedan: front/rear spring rates are 10/20 percent more stiff than the Journey. The IPL exhaust is also a bit more loud than the Journey. Infinity did a good job of combining a sport ride with luxury amenities.

The 370Z was a manual transmission. In fact this is the first vehicle that I have purchased with an automatic transmission. Initially I was not impressed with the automatic, then I turned traction control OFF, and the car came alive!

Nice, it's a shame about your z34, it was a beautiful car.

Everything that has a backseat might as well be a sedan IMO.

Congrats on the new vehicle. I made a similar route as well and I love the car. Check out myg37 if you're not already on there. Forum is not as good as my350z though.
