1 Killed, 1 Injured in Single-Car Crash
A man was killed and another injured Saturday when their car struck a traffic light post at Laguna Canyon Road and Alton Parkway, police said.

Driver Frank Thomas Steeves, 35, of Ladera Ranch lost control of the sedan, police said. After firefighters freed him from the crumpled car, he was taken to Irvine Medical Center, where he died.
Passenger Joseph Yang, 22, of Irvine suffered minor to moderate injuries and was treated at the same hospital, police said.

i didnt know him, but i've read his posts on G35Driver, and i suspect some ppl here knew him..

he was the first to get the Greddy TT into the sedan- it happened this weekend-

 

That is terrible news. My condolences to everyone that ever knew him. Be careful out there people, this is just a reminder at what a dangerous game speed can be.

 

This is a true tragedy, this forum and so cal guys have truly lost a great member. My condolences go out to the friends and family. This is a sad day for our community. We will miss him.

My condolences to his family and friends. I didn't get the chance on meeting him, but we will always remember him.

This is an eye opener.. we have amazing cars, let's just make sure to drive them safely and responsibly.

 

Sad, I remember his posts regarding the sedan and his acomplishments. I'll keep his family in my prayers.

I am holding 2 seperate meets at our new shop soon and want to make an annoucement there for raising more. I'll personally match whatever is given at the events.

I have an 18month old daughter who means the world to me and I know Frank would be only worrying about her needs at at time like this as I worry for her now.

I talked to Frank many times on AIM and PM's ...you just never know.

Thank You to All who have sent donations to my daughter Sara. I have not had a chance to personally Thank each one of You. This has been a very difficult time for us and I am taking each day very slowly.
I have a few New accessories for the G35 Sedan that Frank had purchased but did not have a chance to put on the Car. Can you please direct me to where I can post "For Sale" items?

Don got $1,400 the first two days, plus I sent $100 before that.

Claire has a list of parts that Frank never put on his car. Maybe the prodealers can get together and just buy that from her for a fair price. It would be a big load off her, and prevent her from being cheated by the net hagglers in her time of grief, and probably weakness.

I lost my wife to cancer and have raised five kids by myself. I know what this is about.

Today we have the meet in Duarte with Performance Nissan. I will mention to Jeff and Jason that we should try to do something like this, and I will suggest that I am willing to underwrite part of the cost, perhaps a few hundred dollars, so they or you or several of you can just take this off her hands, deal it off in the ordinary course of business etc.

I will also set up another collection box for her. We have 85 Gs and about 200Zs coming to the meet. G35Lin is going to have a card for people to sign.
