350z Engine Swap into G35 Chasis
Hello all! Im fairly new to this website but i have been reading alot of fourms.
Here is my short story.
I bought a manual g35 ran great for a few months then a head gasket blew. I was prepared and had a 55k engine ready for purchase. It came from a automatic 350z.
Successfully got the engine in the g35 and now it doesnt start.
No spark.
First I checked grounds for any visual defects, none. Brought out the volt meter and it read 0. Then I checked for codes and it showed both of my cam sensors were bad and i thought that was why it wouldn’t start, replaced all three. nothing.
Couple days of slow work to find the problem then it throws these codes.
P1212, which i dont think is important, i could be wrong.
u1001, no clue
P1612, no clue
Ive checked fuel pulse, inspected wires, made sure the red security light doesnt stay on.
Im so lost. Im 16 and this is my first car and ive already rebuilt the engine to fix the head gasket but i sold the motor to get this low mile motor. Old one had 155k. Any advice would help. Currently working on my car at my schools auto shop.

So I found out the problem sort of.
I was out of ideas just unplugging things to see if any change. Nothing
Until i unplugged the crank sensor.
She started right up. Almost.
The connector was covered in some liquid but i think thats the problem.
Any way to clean the connection without damaging it?
There was a loud hissing noise and loud *** pops. I didn’t have time to check over those but i will tomorrow.
