Default Fujitsubo exhaust with test pipes

Does anyone have this combo and sound clips of this combo or anyother exhaust with test pipes?

Also, has anyone used the Greddy e-manage to adjust A/F with high flow cats or test pipes instead of reflashing the ecu?

Well, I will have sound clips hopefully soon, I have the Fujitsubo Legalis R with Japtrix Y-pipe and Kinetix Test Pipes with resonators on the way.

Cool. The sound clips would be appreciated. I am considering this set up and want to ensure I like the sound. Are you happy with the Fujitsubo exhaust? Are you considering reflashing your ecu or the e-manage to adjust A/F?

I love the setup, you cannot beat the big Fujitsubo tips, bigger is better adding the Japtrix y-pipe up the sound and I love it the way it is, it is slightly louder and depper than stock and it just comes alive above 3500 or so, after Dyno day and hearing all different types I have to admit I thought mine was the best sounding

I am up in the air about the reflash, we had a Z there with the TS ECU and I was not impressed, plus I am seriously considering Twin Turbo kit this summer so I am might wait until I can decide.

I am not sure, I know the Japtrix was figured to add 5HP, and for the price you can't beat it. Not as pretty as the Fujitsubo but who sees it.

You can get it from Japtrix in Lake Worth in Palm Beach county.

http://www.japtrix.com/customparts.htm

The ones in the pic where the proto types, the ones that they sell have the brushed aluminum look. You can get the club price if you are a member of the South Florida Z Car Club www.sfzcc.com

Does your test pipe install make a really high pitch rattle noise? I just installed my helix pipes and there was no flange to reinstall the gold colored bracket that is normally on the cats. I was thinking this is what might have caused the rattling but I am noit sure. Before I lowered the car I made sure that everything was tight and the test pipes seemed pretty stout in their position. I have no idea what could be rattling. It almost sounds like a rice rocket (a little ghetto).

I just got them on and had a slight hugh pitch vibration and it seemed to be from one the pipes touching a heatshield on the bottom of the car, but I am having a low pitch vibration that is erratic and at a standstill that I cannot figure out.

Overall the sound is good at WOT there is a touch of raspiness at around 4K but not as bad as I have heard with straight pipes the resonators make a huge difference.

Well the little problem seems to tbe the passenger side test pipe touching the body transferring vibrations, not sure what to do about it as I do not want to induce stresses to the header by forcing it down.

I am going to put it on a lift on friday to take a look and see what that problem is but I was thinking if I can't fix it, I might wrap the test pipes in some intake heatwrap or something. Just a thought. I going to go take a before vid right now and see if the sound quality is sharp enough to hear my super rasp. Also, are you using a different resonator? The one from your aftermarket exhaust or a different one?

Here are the before videos. The only was I had of uploading them was through imagestation.com so just click on the link and look through my album for the vids. And believe me it is way worse in person, it sounds like a ricer below 4k.

I am using the resonator that came with the straight from the Fujitsubo exhaust.

What helps the raspiness with these pipes are the resonators on each pipe, I don't think the Helix have resonators, I can hear a touch of raspiness at a point but it would be really bad without the resonators.

I think you need to put some washers as spacers on the cross brace. Seems to be the common fix. Too bad I cannot find the thread due to the wonderful site being broken still...

Well it seems to be fixed I losened it and moved it around some and it is away from the body and not touching , I am going to the dyno wednesday to see if the added noise is worth the power.
