Default vortech

i've been thinking about the vortech s/c kit. has ne one personally done an install for the 03 g35 coupe 6mt??my main concern is if there is any oil plubming needed to be done, also if there are any dyno tuning tips that would help out. i've seen dollar99's set up and i like what i see. tips and advice would be greatly appreciated.

just had one installed, yes you do need to tap the oil pan, but that's miner

as for dyno, i'm currently using the piggy back system supplied, (although i have exhaust on the car) i am planning on getting it dyno tuned soon; the car runs pretty rich so it is safe

i am very satisfied

how is your gas mileage?? is there any recomended break in period for the s/c?? how long did the install take?? i've heard of problems with the ati kit because of the computer management but none yet with the vortech.

my gas mileage dropped from 20.4 to 18.6

although i am driving harder now!!! so i guess the drop is not too much becase of the blower

but what the hey

if there was a recommended break in period, i skipped it!! so i wouldn't know... i like to see who intstalls a SC and then takes it easy for 500 miles

as for instal times, my mech took his sweet time, he was done in about 3 days, i rather have it that way than too fast and wrong

how much did u end up paying for the kit?? i've seen prices from $4k up to $6k and install charge plus dyno tuning has varied depending on where u live. have u modified the front bumper or did u buy a new one to help with cooling?? any track times yet?

no track times, that's what the bike is for!!

i paid 4800 for the polished one (out the door price)

i paid 1000 for install and 100 for 2 sets of dynoes;

i did not change or modify the outside part of the car, we did remove a bit of the padding so the intercooler and piping fit straight
