Track Fun
had a lot of fun at Indianapolis Raceway Park opening night. (last night) it was packed to the brim. I waited in line for my first pull for over 1 1/2 hours. This was my first time to the track, i previously owned an SUV and had no reason to go. The track conditions were, outside temp 44 with 10 mph winds. It was windy on the track and effected the times for sure. Because of cold condiitions i dropped my tire pressure to 22lbs instead of what the factory puts in, 36lbs!!!! The first pull i had i was extremely nervous. My legs wouldn't stop shaking. You dont get nervous on the street whenever having some fun, but there's something about the track that gives ya jitters. Anywayz my first pull i didnt have my car all the way in 1st it was only half way in. So i totally screwed the launch and ran a terrible 17.842 this was embarassing but i was expecting a bad run because it was my first. My second however was alot better because i wasn't nervous at all. I raced a little honda accord rice burner which the G annhilated. i had a little too much tirespin @ launch but i pulled a 14.490 which i was pleased with for my 2nd run. My last run was against a nice eclipse that looked pretty stock, but had upgraded turbo systems in it. We had a hell of a run. we both had decent launches but had too much tirespin again. It was the closest race of the night. My G ran a 14.530, the Eclipse ran a 14.685. I barely pulled it out. but hey winning is winning. Hopefully track conditions will be better next time. I'd like to run a 14 flat. i believe this car is capable of it with the right driver. What times have you ran @ the track?
it's 6mt w/ injen CAI and Unorothodox Pulleys
these runs werent the greatest. im gonna get some more practice with the car and go back in a couple weeks. What were your track times?

look at my sig. What were your 60ft times? Those are the biggest factor in what kind of times you'll run. A good 60ft in a g35c 6mt is 2.0x. A perfect 60ft is somewhere in the 1.9x range. In my sig, i listed a 2.28 60ft which is actually horrible, and factor in that the track was unprepped and 40 degrees, i would have had a better time launching on the street. I'm going to go back soon to the drag strip as well... I should be able to attain 13.8 - 13.9.
