Would you get a NISMO Exhaust if I extended the tips a couple of inches?

Jason

I believe you'd want to extend the midpipe something like 7". Or as some people have done, simply make a mid pipe extension that bolts between the Y pipe and the mid pipe. Anyway, I believe it's been done.

we already have extended mid-pipes...

but the tips of the nismo dont go out below the rear bumper as much as the 350z...

you can not move the muffler position that much even if you had a longer mid pipe...

Yes that is the only reason holding me back from getting the Nismo. If you could get the Skyline Nismo exhaust then it wouldn't be an issue, but there's that conflict w/ the Nismo/Infiniti thing right Jason?

My Pro-1 w/ extension sits slightly under the bumper.

I can get the exhaust.. but I dont want to import it to pay over 1400 dollars more then a modified nismo one...

If I can offer a 350Z NISMO Exhaust with the extended Mid-Pipe and Longer Tips (onlything different besides the mid-pipe) so they line up like the "skyline" one for $1050 plus shipping would there be interest.

Rather then paying over $2000+ for an imported one...

Pay something around $1050 for a modified NISMO Exhaust with longer tips...

Why is there such a price difference in the Skyline & Fairlady exhaust?

importing / buying it from japan etc...

example...

If i were to buy a NISMO 350z Exhaust from Japan... it would be

180,000.00 JPY Japan Yen = 1,699.29 USD United States Dollars
1 JPY = 0.00944050 USD 1 USD = 105.927 JPY

with that conversion rate... $1699.29 MSRP not including import freight...

MSRP on the US exhaust for the 350z is $1100 MSRP for the same part number / box / etc...

yes...that would be fantastic.

the best package would be a nismo exhaust with the G35 midpipe extension, and the extended tips...with the JIC Y-pipe substituted in.

can that pakage be done for a price close to the one you are offering?

I agree. The shorter tips have been the only thing holding me back. I was going to go with the Fujitsubo but it doesn't come with the Y-pipe like the Nismo does. I'd probably be in for that.

At $1050 + shipping, that's pretty close to the price of a fujitsubo with y-pipe. Gruppe-s had a GB on the fujitsubo y-pipe back for $745 shipped. Even if you added $400 for the y-pipe, that's still only $1145 shipped, which will be close to this proposed package in price with shipping.

I'd be interested in your nismo exhaust + jic y-pipe instead of the nismo one for $1050 shipped. Any more than that and I think the fujitsubo might be the better choice.

remember the NISMO Exhaust comes with the Fujitsubo Y-Pipe...

I will offer some NISMO Exhausts weither it have extended tips or standard 350z tips with JIC Y-Pipes for a small price increase... I just want to have JIC Y-Pipes on hand before I offer that kit... And rite now the JIC Y-Pipes are back ordered for another 6 weeks...

I can arrange to ship the mid pipe and modified muffler and ship the JIC Y-Pipe when they return instock...

Ohhh ok...so the low priced 800-900 350Z exhaust is a Nismo US Spec. They don't have a US Spec Nismo for the G35. I get it now.

Jason,

Al503 and I purchased our JIC Y-Pipes through Avalon racing for a GREAT deal (got in just before the price increase). We are in the same boat as far as 6 MORE weeks. How much would it cost for the Nismo exhaust WITHOUT the nismo/fujitsubo Y-Pipe? Is this do-able? If not, I'll probably stay stock for a while yet, and eventually go with the fuji- exhaust in the future.

hey jason,

how much would you charge to modify/swap (or however you're gonna do it) the tips? I bought the exhaust from you guys a few weeks ago.
