Dropped G35 Sedan + Dyno

Default Dropped G35 Sedan + Dyno

I dropped it with Tein S-Tech gonna get Flex C/O with my tax return.
My Dyno was 215hp and 223ft lbs. Im bone stock on performance mods.
I also ran my car in the 1/4 mile here in LA at LACR and ran a 15.1 @93mph when corrected due to elevation thats a 14.7.

That looks so good. I ordred s-techs for my coupe. I hope they lower it at least that much.

Hey Court,

Looks great. I just got my black sedan last week and can't wait to lower it. Jason at Performance nissan recommended S-tech over 2004 350z suspension. Did your car come with the factory sports suspension ? Mine did and I'd hate to take a step backward in terms of stiffness and handling just to drop it.

no mine did not come with the sport suspension. I would recomend shocks if you want the ride to be stiffer. the S-Tech are great a bite stiffer from stock but yet comfortable.
Cant wait to get my coilovers cause I want the stiffest ride possible. Withe sway bars the car should be glued to the ground.

I have yet to see a reseller of parts for these cars recommend anything they do not have or sell, "best" part is alway's the one they have on the shelf and you can bet it's in stock. Only if we remove handling, night and day improvement's in rate of weight transfer, turn in performance and inside wheel traction can it be said just lowering springs are better then the Z suspension. It also cannot be said that transfering 34% spring stiffness to the front compaired to the sport suspension, is performance a enhancement, that is how tuners increase understeer.

I have the 03 Z suspension (not the revised 2004 Z setup) on my car, their is no way on the face of this earth that I would put up with the bounce that I have if it was not vastly superior to the current crop of sedan lowering springs on the market or the oem sport supension. If all I wanted was a like stock ride quality, no progressive spring compromise's, lowered center of gravity, no shifting of roll stiffness to the front, I'd just run 350z/coupe oem springs on the sport shocks (non sport shocks do not have enough dampning).

Non sport springs are 280/315 Non sport shocks use the softest valving of all. So Tein S-tech's with 358/274 will feel stiffer in the front to a non sport owner.

Both Tein and Eibach used a non sport sedan to develope their sedan lowering springs.

Once again you made sense of the situation. I think I'll go with the 04 Z stuff and just try the springs to start. I'll always have the shox if I want to stiffen it up. Looks like about a 1" drop, wouldn't you say ?
