Default Mid-pipe

I was wondering if the 350Z or G35 coupe midpipe will work on the G35 sedan, the Nissan Altima and Maxima?

Yes it will work on a G35 sedan (providing you do something to lengthen it), it will not work on the other 2 cars because the are based on a totally different platform. It is a sound quality mod, providing ZERO performance gain.

Either have a exhaust shop extend it or simply purchase this extension part specifically made to do the job. http://www.performancenissanparts.co...roducts_id=340

The mid pipe on the G35 coupe is a direct bolt on for the G35 sedan only the 350Z mid pipe requires the extension. The FX35/45 is highly doubtfull, something to do with the AWD hardware, don't see it matter's anyhow, finding a used FX mid pipe would would be next to impossible. The coupe may be a direct bolt on, but the supply to is tight, prices will reflect that, lot's of Z mid pipes are sitting around, should be easy to get one cheap buy the extension and still come out cheaper.

FX45 of course is a V8, the FX35 sound in the same as the coupe to my ears. One thing to do is to go to the dealer and ask to see the part number for the coupe mid pipe and the FX35 mid pipe, if they are the same or not, if they are different, that sides the argument that fitment would be a issue. FX35 is awd or rwd, it would be against Infiniti's habbit's to use a different exhaust on the rwd version.

50% of the sound quality of the coupe, FX and the Z is the muffler they use, sedan's cannot run their mufflers. Running their mid pipe will get you 50% of their sound quality, but definately NOT copy it.

Something to do with how Infiniti routed the exhaust differently. It's the reaon no one makes a exhaust system for the FX yet, though borla was willing, they could not get 25 FX owners to commit. And it's the same issue that prevent's G35X owners from bolting on a sedan stillen true dual exhaust. The FX is the same platform form as the G35X, of course the rear exhaust section's are totally different.

So the RWD FX is using the same exaust as the awd exaust then. Will the coupe exaust sound good on a sedan. well thank you.

The sound clip I posted of the Fujitsubo sounds brighter then it actually does on the car...

the evo sounds a little deeper then the Fujitsubo...

I have put all of these combinations on a car and no one disliked the sound of their car....

Mid pip only...

$235.00 plus shipping
