MY PARENTS PICK UP A G35C ABOUT A MONTH AGO, SO AFTER RUNNING THE STREETS IN THERE RIDE I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE G. DAMN AFTER HAVEN MY 04Z(TOURING) FOR SEVEN MONTHS I HAD TO TRADE IT IN!!! . I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS,, THEY ARE TO DIFFERENT CARS. THE G TAKES IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL. MY 6SPEED G IS MUCH SMOOTHER, AND NICER.

 

I am considering doing the same thing with my 03 Track. The G is a bit more practical and I think I could use that. Truthfully, I probably should have looked closer at the G before I bought my Z. Oh well.

Are you really that happy with the G over the Z? Does it feel comparable in performance? I have only looked at the G, still haven't driven it. Just curious since you have experience with both.

 

I traded in my 03 touring z for my 6MT coupe. I love it.

 

Not everyone has the right personality to drive and enjoy a sports cars. I love the Z for it's sports car feel and looks. The G35 is a Z car for the family man. Just don't leave the babies dirty diapers on the leather seats

 

Welcome boys to a mans world. The G is the way to go, its alot nicer than the Z! Don't get me wrong I like the Z but the G is the upgrade.

 

The Track is awesome. If it had heated seats, I'd own one!

 

I did the same..traded a black 03' Performance Z for a white 6MT. They are completely different, the Z definately feels sportier and is easier to toss around turns. I definately miss the Z, but like the "luxury" of the Z. Ill admit it, it was a total impulse buy and probably wouldnt do it again if I would have thought about it more..Luckily I work for Nissan, so I still get a chance to drive the 350's around sometimes.. -Giovanni

No way. Again, I have a Track Z with Nav, 8900 miles. He offered me $25k for trade. I tried not to tell him he was high. Kelley Blue Book shows trade value of around $29350. His reply was that the Nissan dealers he would try to sell it to after the trade would only give him around $25k for the car. Ah, funkin dealers man. Oh well, on to the next Infiniti dealer.

 

I live in Cayon Crest which is a minute away from Orangecrest. What do you do out here every weekend? We have that meet coming up makesure you make it.

Ok, I know I'm in the minority.... and especially now that you can start to bargain with the price of a G coupe.... but I'm not a fan of ALL the goodies and toys. So I ordered a g35 coupe in the base model which brought the sticker to $33,550 with the aero package. This means that my does not have the sunroof, dual climate control, homelink system, bose radio, or auto headlights. But that does mean I have a "350z track model" with leather and a backseat for LESS money. PLEASE don't flame me, I know they are not the exact same car... mine weighs more, has slightly softer springs, isn't a "REAL" sports car... yada, yada, yada. Yes now you can negotiate the price of the coupe, but at the time I could not. No dealers were dealing when I bought my car, but I would get the same car in an instant. Which is hopefully the feeling of everyone that buys a car.

I'm just too practical to bring myself to buy a true 2 seater, yet I Love the Z. So I bought what works for me. I have used the back seat far more than I ever thought I would. Luggage on long trips, nasty cargo that was too big for the trunk,... with the seat folded down. And I have had many neighbors under 5'7" that were perfectly happy to ride in the backseat.

So if you love the Z, and you need more space, you will also love the G coupe.... the graceful lines, heated seats, nicer interior(in my opinion), soft leather, the direct action of the shifter, the brembos, oh man.... I think I need to go for a drive!

 

 

I had a Z loved it till all the problems occured and traded it in. BUt next spring I'm going to hopefully getting a G35C 6MT Laser Red. I went and looked at some in St. Louis and just love them, don't know why I didn't buy one in the first place. Probably will get a used one though since I am also getting married next year.
